For instance, if I have money, then it's quite possible that I'll go to my favourite coffee shop to listen to music. However, the price of one drink in an upscale bistro or coffee shop is pretty pricey in HCMC. Whereas in contrast, if I'm broke, it's more likely that I will stay at home and listen to music on my DVD player. 4. Can you play any musical instruments? Honestly, I would have to say that I can not play any musical instruments. I did take a crack at piano but I realised that it was too demanding (doi hoi khac khe) and I didnt have the time needed for practicing every day. 5. Do you think it's important for children to learn to play a musical instrument? Actually, when I think about it, I would say that it's really important. Children who learn to play musical instruments have superior brain development. Futhermore, playing musical instruments opens up (mo ra) a future that will provide enrichment to their life. However, if children are beginners, it can be frustrating, and sometimes cause stress. All in all I guess my answer would have to be yes for most children but no for some. 6. Do you prefer listening to live performances or recorded music? I really think that I prefer listening to live performances. As a result, I can see the singers and get into (enjoy) the lively atmosphere at the concert. So, honestly, to enjoy the music more, when Im at home I would rather watch a music video, than simply listening to audio. Well, I think it really depends , on days when I have to go to university, I will be an early bird, getting up about 5 o'clock to prepare for classes. but if I'm on a day-off or holiday, then it's more likely that I will get up late, around 8 o'clock, to get into (enjoy) sleeping in (ngu nuong) during my free time. 2. Are your weekend and weekday routines different? Well, actually, when I think about it, I guess that in many ways, they are completely different, especially when you consider that at the weekend I can forget about the daily grind (everyday work routine). It's really a good time to get away from it all (get away from the daily work routine). In stark contrast, on weekdays, I have to prepare for my classes and do homework, so I must get out of bed early, which I don't easily do. 3. What's your favourite time of day? Generally speaking, I love midnight and the wee hours (very early in the morning after midnight). I guess the reason why I enjoy that time is because it's the only time in the day that I have nothing to worry about and I can take it easy (relax) by listening to music, reading books, or watching films before I fall asleep. Of course, I cant take advantage of this sweet time (the time one enjoys the most) every night, because most mornings I have to get up very early. 4. What's the worst part of the day for you? Well, honestly, the worst part of the day for me, is afternoon. it is so hot, which makes me so exhausted and sleepy. I hate feeling sleepy during class and I learn nothing when I feel that way. Well, naturally, it really depends. For instance, if I have time, I may drop into some museums once or twice a month. To generalize, we have many types of museums in Vietnam. The first type is the military history museum, of which there are several, due to Vietnams struggle for independence over a period of many decades. Another common kind is the art museum. As you probably know, Vietnamese people are very creative and they produce many types of art. All of these arts except music can be viewed in museums. Likewise, there are other kinds, such as Vietnamese womens museum, The Cham culture museum in Da Nang and the Ho Chi Minh museum in Ha Noi and of course, some natural history museums. 4. Why are museums important? In my opinion, museums are of special importance for many reasons. First of all, artifact collections help us to learn more about our history, elaborate traditions and connect to the lifestyle of our ancestors. In natural history museums, fossils provide us with evidence about biosphere processes and help us to understand the evolution of Earth and all its creatures. 1. Whats the weather like where you live? Well, I live in HCM city and because my country is a tropical climate, there are two seasons: the dry season and the rainy or monsoon season. It is usually like a sauna (a hot and humid place) in the summer months and it rains incessantly (kg ngt) in the other. Of course in the north, a round Hanoi, people enjoy all four seasons and it gets much colder in the Winter there, although it only snows in the mountains. 2. What do you do when the weather is bad? Well, if by bad you mean rainy weather, then I usually idle away the hours (spend) by staying home and by keeping my nose in a book (read book) or by listening to my favourite songs. This is also a good time for me to take it easy (relax) after a hard week of studying. 3. What type of weather do you like best? Well actually I enjoy a variety in the weather, though I think the balmy weather (mild, not hot & not rainy, with a gentle breeze) suits me best. I guess the reason why is that its really a great time to go for walks with my soul mate or to take part in some outdoor games, like tennis, badminton or football. 4. Would you like to have that type of weather all year round? Actually, I havent thought much about that but I guess I could handle (easily deal with) having cool weather all year round. This is due to the fact that this kind of weather makes me feel comfortable and energetic enough to do many things that I normally avoid doing in hot weather.
