Kansas Quick Careers/Patient Care Assistant Training Program: In partnership with Butler County Community, offers classes to earn a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) License & a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) certificate. A 6-week course designed to help adults move toward sustained employment; includes computer training, a Life Skills course, and how to utilize job search sites. Services are customized for each person's unique needs, skills, interests and abilities, and may include: physical and mental restoration services (e.g., artificial limbs, psychotherapy, and physical therapy), training, aids and other adaptive devices, job placement services, supported employment, and referral to other services. People who receive vocational rehabilitation services have a physical or mental impairment which results in a substantial impediment to employment and require such services to prepare for, secure, retain or regain employment. Individuals who receive supplemental security income or social security disability income are eligible for these services, as well as others who meet eligibility guidelines. Registered Apprenticeship . An employment and training program where you earn wages while you learn a skilled profession in a specific field such as construction or health care. Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP). Provides workers ages 55 & over with an opportunity to gain key work skills. Veterans: Employment training services are available to eligible veterans. Veterans should visit the local Workforce Center and talk with the Local Veterans Employment Representative (LVER) or Disabled Veteran Outreach Program Specialists (DVOPs).
