Erection of main steam and auxiliary piping and its supports, hydro testing of piping and commissioning. Job Responsibilities: Preparation and approval of Method Statement and inspection test plan (ITP). Arranging and conducting WPS, PQR and WQT. Preparation and approval of QA/QC procedures of non-destructive techniques like MPI, DPT, RT& UT, Hydro test package, punch list & painting. Coordinating with third party inspectors and client. Raw material inspection, visual, dimension, verification of correctness, identification and correlation with manufactures test certificates. Verifying all fabrication and erection welding is performed in accordance with the Contract Documents and making necessary documents. Provide proper preheat arrangements for the piping joint prior to the welding as per WPS. Stage wise inspection before, during and after fabrication in accordance with the ITP. Checking heat treatments for Post Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT) diagrams. Checking the correct measurements of hardness, when required, and the acceptability of the result. Making the NDT request for welded joints.

Review of radiographic films, witnessing ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle testing, dye penetrant testing and reviewing the results of the tests. Witnessing the weld repair inspection. Conducting tool box meetings for welders to reduce the repair rates. Making the Field Joint Request for cleared joints. Verification of Hydro test packages / Mechanical completion Package / Appraise the Client about the Quality of work with statistics. Review of test packages clearance/ punch listing as per project specification as per system before hydrostatic testing prior to pre-commissioning. Re-routing of piping according to site condition. Hydro testing & Air Leakage Test of Piping Spools. Verifying the adequacy of the Quality Control Procedure. Checking that inspections and test are carried out and documented in accordance with the approved procedure and quality plans. Documentation/filling of all piping/pipeline inspections records. Witness reinstatement of piping systems after completion of all hydro testing activities. Witnessing Field joint coating/painting . Witnessing Air Blowing and Nitrogen Purging of Piping & Pipelines Pre-commissioning activities arrangement & Commissioning of Piping/Pipelines. Ensure that all inspections are performed in accordance with the project requirement, specification, acceptance criteria and international standards. Submission of all final reports to client.

DETAILS OF PROJECT EXECUTED IN COLLEGE Company : Lakshmi Electrical Control Systems Limited, Coimbatore Project Name : 3 Axis Servo Robot For Drive Pulley Duration : 15 Dec 2008- 14 Feb 2009 Project Description : The important application of the robot is material transfer where pick and place operations in which the robot picks up a part from one place and moves to another location. In the simplest case, the part was presented to the robot by an retrieval system with a known location. The known location was achieved using sensors. An input interlock would pick up the part and moves it at the required position. The drive pulley is being made in this process further used in textile machineries.
