June 16, 2013 Dell & Schaefer personal injury attorney Malcolm Purow recently joined an elite group of Florida lawyers by earning his certification in Civil Trial from the Florida Bar. Only six percent of the states more than 93,000 attorneys have earned the distinction. Board certification recognizes attorneys special knowledge, skills and proficiency in various areas of law and professionalism and ethics in practice. Certification is the highest level of evaluation by The Florida Bar of the competency and experience of attorneys in the 24 areas of law approved for certification by the Supreme Court of Florida. To be a board certified civil trial attorney, attorneys need to practice for a minimum of five years, handle at least 15 civil trials, obtain 30 hours of CLE credits in civil trial, obtain references from other attorneys and judges and pass an exam.
