Lipid Solvents Lipid-based solvents can increase the bioavailability of drugs that are poorly dissolved in water by improving drug solubility, for instance. Based on our extensive knowledge of oleochemical-derived products, Cognis offer a selection of lipid-based solvents for drug delivery. Customized lipids are available for specic solutions, on request. Penetration Enhancers The exact tuning of the penetration of the active substance through the skin is a signicant factor in inuencing the efciency of drugs, especially in topical pour-on applications. Cognis offer a variety of excipients that can act as penetration enhancers. Solubilizers Solubilizers are used to increase the solubility and bioavailability of poorlysoluble actives.
