Hall & Gardens
tHe House
One of Englands fnest moated Tudor Houses,
which still remains a lived in family home.
A strikingly romantic survival.
restoration
Not just a Tudor House one saved from
years of neglect by the present owners
commitment. Extensive works (new works
as much as restoration) undertaken over the
last 40 years have saved this magical House.
tHe Gardens
These too have been revived and re-
created noted for their wonderful sense of
tranquility, inspired by the Moats and mellow
brickwork. These are gardens to enjoy in a
leisurely way as you wander, with surprises
and delights to stimulate the senses.
tHe Farm
Built from scratch in Tudor style, with
traditional oak framed buildings to serve
Kentwells rare breed farm animals.

Kentwells Re-Creations of Everyday Tudor Life have been a world leader since 1979. This Great
Tudor House, its numerous outbuildings and grounds are used every year to re-create a different year of the
Tudor age. Visitors see not only how the family in a Great Tudor House might have lived then, but also the
supporting community. Here rich & poor, old & young, the industrious & the idle are shown as they might
have been. It is like stepping back in time, a whole immersing experience which few visitors will ever forget.
Also Victorian and multi-period events showing how life evolved over the centuries.
