Examiners tip
Questions like all the parts ii in question 4 are common in the A-level exam and are usually answered very badly! Re-read the section Identifying the monomer(s) present in a given section of a polymer molecule on page 403 and then practise applying the rules to these questions. Then come back to your answers after a suitable time interval and practise using the monomers to construct a diagram of the length of the polymer chain. If you can get back to the diagrams in this question you have probably mastered this skill.
