Lyrics are closely related to parts of the video that they have been put with and this gives the lyrics more meaning.

Examples The whole video is awash with fast cuts back to the band playing and head banging to the music. 1.15 seconds in shows a close up of a man with the lyrics cant judge a book from looking at the cover... hints at the man being different to what he looks like Between 1:10 and 1:25 the music feels to get faster as it moves into the chorus and this is emphasised by the use of frequent cuts between different parts of the band as well as deliberately tilting the camera. 0.50.1.00.1.05.1.101.12 These are just a few examples of when the bands singer has been shown.

Is the video This is an amplification video because there category has been thought of what clips should be illustration, put behind what lyrics. disjuncture or amplification? How much of each? Video Lonely Train by Black Stone Cherry http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=omo-fwok15E

0.25 seconds into the video shows a short clip of a Taxicab card with the lyircs sometimes, I want to ride away showing the audience that this is happening 3.30 to 3.35 gives a good example of the intertextual reference as theres a close up of an old woman and the lyrics cant judge a book because the audience has already heard these lyrics, they know what the next bit will say and, again, it hints that theres something more that meets the eye about that person. Amplification because through the video there are frequent references between the lyrics and the pieces of the film, so mise en scene has been considered in the making of this video.
