Statement Of Objectives Microsystems Engineering as a field, had always fascinated me through out my undergraduate studies at the University of Dschang,

Cameroon which is one of the best engineering universities in Cameroon. I have the self-confidence that applying for the scholarship programme in Microsystems Engineering, at prestigious institutions like Masdar Institute will enable me transfer the knowledge and practical experience gathered to my country which is currently upgrading its telecoms sector especially in the domain of microwave and optical communications. Obtaining a Bachelors Degree in Engineering in the domain of Telecommunications and Mobile Networks Engineering at the University of Dschang, Cameroon coupled with an internship carried out with Cameroon Telecommunications (CAMTEL) Company on the theme Last Mile Optical Fibre/Microwave Installation and Administration, has not only given me a sound and firm grounding in the operation of optical and microwave communications systems, but also grant me the potentials to successively install, maintain and commission microwave systems. My work experience in the domain of microwave communications gotten from a multinational Company like China Communications Services (CCS) gave me also another great opportunity for installing and commissioning Huawei Technologies Microwave, BTS and SSV which is made entirely of Microwave and optical transmission system. Additionally my achievements with Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd in the domain of Microwave, Base Transceiver Stations, Drive Test and Single Site Survey is another great opportunity for me. Good reputation of high quality education standards, extremely distinguished faculty members and research facilities earmarked worldwide by Masdar Institute are the prime factors that influenced me to apply for masters studies. Secondly, since Cameroon is a developing country, and it is vying to measure up with developed countries in the arena of Microwave/Photonics Engineering and telecommunications in general, I believe this scholarship program will give me an insight of what Microsystems Engineering is all about and accord me educational awareness which surely will qualify me outstanding amongst my peers, and a useful instrument that will enable me to render qualitative services nationally and internationally in communication engineering.

It would, therefore, be a privileged opportunity for me, if I am granted admission to pursue the Masters program in Microsystems Engineering, since it will tie with my great interest in this field of study. I am confident that I will match the high standards set by the department with my diverse academic background. Sincerely, Eyongesi Esapa Perez
