MODEL ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE PERSONNEL POLICIES, MUNICIPAL MEDICAL INSURANGE COVERAGE.

SUMMARY An ordinance amending the Municipal Code, Personnel Policies to ban part time elected officials and part-time appointed officials from receiving municipally funded medical insurance coverage. BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of (Municipality), as follows: Section 1. Medical Insurance Coverage is hereby amended as follows: No part time elected officials or part-time appointed officials shall be eligible for medical insurance coverage after the effective date of this Ordinance. Section 2. Repealer. All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby repealed as to the extent of such inconsistency. Section 3. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take effect 90 days after adoption and publication according to law.
