Exercises for Developing Ones Clairvoyant Abilities


EXERCISE I Upon relaxing (perform the RR if needed), visualize sitting on top of a beautiful scenery cliff overlooking a river and with a clear, blue sky. Hear the sounds of the river flowing and allow this to be the only thing you are involved in be at peace and enjoy it. If other thoughts should appear, dont push them away. Let them come and see them in a positive way. Then allow the thought to drift gently down the river and away until your mind is clear again. Once this exercise has been practiced daily for at least one week, and once you are capable of sitting on the cliff, observing and enjoying the scenery with few or no distractions, then youre ready to move on to exercise two. EXERCISE II On the same cliff overlooking the same river, allow a thought or a topic come to you and give it the form of an image. Now focus on this image and only this. Try to maintain this image only and not allow any outside thoughts disturb you. If others come, allow them to drift gently down the river as before and return to contemplating the image you were working with. Once you can hold one image in your mind like this for about 5 minutes without disturbances, you are ready to move on to exercise 3. EXERCISE III Spend about a minute with some kind of object in your hand a pencil, pen, fork, matchbox, pebble or any other item of your choice. Examine the object in every detail, its color, texture threedimensional shape etc. Familiarize yourself with it thoroughly. Once finished, put the item down, close your eyes and visualize two connected, dark curtains flowing before you. Know that this is a gateway to the etheric plane. Allow them to pull apart. Behind them, the color of your field of vision should be somewhat lighter. Now, visualize the object you just spent time studying see the etheric counterpart of this in all its detail, like you examined the physical form thereof a moment ago. Move it around, move the angle of view to allow it to remain sharp and in focus. Once you have been looking at the chosen image for about 5 minutes, visualize how the item fades away and the curtains come together to close the gateway. From here, move directly on to exercise 4 (in other words, exercises 3 and 4 are performed together). EXERCISE IV Ring a small bell that has a light, soothing chime. Spend about one minute familiarizing yourself with the sound not only what it sounds like but also how it feels in your ears, how you sense the pressure in your eardrums. Try moving the ringing bell slightly around, closer to your ears, away from your ears etc. to really familiarize yourself with the sound and how it feels. Once you are able to really feel the pressure of the chime in your ears, visualize to black spheres floating by each of your ears. Try moving them a little closer to your ears and notice how this creates pressure (etheric pressure) in them. When the spheres actually touch you, it will feel as if your ears are actually pulsating. Once you feel this, you can move on to the next step. Ring your bell again and notice the disturbance it creates in the air pressure around your ears now. Know that these spheres are actually openings to the etheric plane, and that the disturbance the chime of the bell makes in them is the etheric sound of the bell itself. After a few minutes of this, put the bell away and hear the sound through visualization. Hear the sound of the bell and feel the pressure it creates in your ears. Attempt to tune into the etheric equivalent of the physical sound. Once you succeed in this and have done so for a few minutes, visualize the black spheres floating away and fading. Once you have been practicing exercises 3 and 4 daily for about one week, you

may move on to exercise 5 where you will be practicing both astral vision and hearing simultaneously. EXERCISE V Visualize the black curtains before you as in exercise 3, but this time, also visualize the two black spheres by your ears as in exercise 4. As you see the curtains opening, you want to visualize the spheres moving closer as well. You want to experience your field of astral vision opening while you simultaneously feel the pressure in your ears from the spheres. It is very important that you experience both of these sensations at the same time as you do not want your concentration to fluctuate between the two! Once you feel ready to use both your senses together, visualize an object such as an old, standing grandfather clock (or anything else you find appropriate). Focus on the swinging pendulum, the movement of the hands along with the ticking of the pendulum. Make sure you feel the sound of the ticks in your ears as with the bell. Once you become adept at this, visualize the clock striking 12 and hear the 12 gongs following along with the swinging of the pendulum. Like before, feel these gongs resonating in your ears. The experience must be as vivid as possible. Once you start to master this exercise, you will no longer need to visualize the curtains or the spheres as youll be able to activate your astral senses by will alone. Continue practicing this exercise for the remainder of the month.
