Job Objective: The Regional EH&S Manager directs the implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive environmental, health and safety compliance system for designated plant sites within a region. The position provides leadership and technical expertise to achieve corporate goals for environmental, health, and safety performance and ensures compliance with EH&S polices and applicable regulations through partnership with local management at each facility. The Regional EH&S Manager will ensure application of EH&S technical expertise as needed across multiple businesses and divisions within his/her region.

Essential Functions: - Regulatory Compliance Work to ensure sites are in compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations and permit requirements Provide technical support and guidance for all environmental permits for designated sites within the region and ensure timely submission of initial applications and applications for renewal or modification Assist sites with EH&S recordkeeping and ensure timely submission of periodic reports to regulatory agencies Assist and/or lead emergency response activities following spills and releases Assist and review air/water emission improvement programs and solid/ hazardous waste programs Support and review site emergency programs (e.g., facilitate site level drills)

Interface with regulatory authorities as appropriate Participate in Process Safety Audits, PHA's and other elements of Process Safety integral to site EHS performance Oversee and participate in site Industrial Hygiene programs ;

-Operational EH&S Management Develop, review, and revise site safety plans Prioritize major hazards and risks across the region, and ensure actions are taken to mitigate or eliminate risks Assist and/or lead incident investigations and participate in management review of all serious incidents Lead, coordinate, and participate in EH&S performance improvement initiatives Provide support and guidance to individual plant safety committees Participates in annual budget development process with assigned regional sites to set budget for specifically defined elements of EHS outside spend;

- Auditing & Management Systems Lead site self-audits and coordinate external EH&S audits conducted at sites, and partner with division and/or site management to close audit findings and implement audit recommendations Provide guidance to sites in identifying and tracking appropriate metrics and assessing site performance Implement and maintain EH&S management systems in support of the company EH&S policies and standards Track, report, and analyze the EH&S performance and implement corrective action as necessary Develop and maintain action item closure plans in the Action Item Management System (AIMS) ;

- Training Develop, review, and adjust safety and environmental training programs; facilitate train-the-trainer sessions Direct computer-based training activities Train associates as appropriate on requirements and procedures for EH&S compliance;

- Leadership & Capability Building Conduct regular reviews with site leadership and prioritize EH&S issues Act as an interface between corporate EH&S & site Coordinate and implement EH&S site projects Coordinate work with EH&S site contacts; provide training as needed Mentor Site EH&S Leader(s) as assigned Participate on regional EH&S team to implement EH&S Programs

Education / Qualifications: BS degree in engineering, chemistry, environmental or occupational health sciences or equivalent combination of training & experience At least 5 - 10 years experience in the environmental, health, & safety field Must be familiar with safety and environmental regulations including air, wastewater, storm water, solid and hazardous waste regulations Should possess strong leadership, training, problem solving, and decision making skills Ability to prioritize effectively and serve multiple sites Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization Should have strong oral and written communication skills in English and the local language Ability to travel 25% - 50% of the time to other company operations within region of responsibility
