TAFS/79Cir/Adm Dear Parents,

08 Aug 2013

The Astronomy club of TAFS has been conducting various activities for the students to enhance their scientific temper and skills. Active members of the club have accomplished laurels in All India Asteroid Search Campaign 2013. Our mission is innovation, passion and total commitment to our vision of spreading the knowledge of Astronomy and Space Sciences among the students. Every project/activity is an opportunity for us to strengthen our belief in developing scientific temperament in children, to create an intelligent and analytic thinking. Astronomy Club of TAFS offers, a wonderful hands on learning opportunity for students to learn exciting and new concepts of Astronomy and space sciences. As always, our focus will be on concepts, ideas and evidence rather than facts, figures and definitions. Our aim is to broaden the mental horizon of a child and not burden him/her with facts that can be easily found over the internet or in encyclopaedias. Keeping in view the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation Scheme of CBSE, the coscholastic achievements and curricular activities have become an integral part of the curriculum. The Astronomy workshops for the Academic Year 2013-14 have been designed to provide an opportunity to the students for an independent out of the box thinking and enhance the scientific skills of the students. We look forward to all children participating.
