This In-Plant Training technical report is a prove as Im completed my In-Plant Training in GMI. This report consist my major achievements during 4 months which Ive learn and get a lot of experience. I really appreciate the opportunity that had been given by GMI. This is really a good step to give student industrial working environments which will benefits students. I take this opportunity to apply what Ive studied and practiced in GMI. Its help me a lot in reshaping my skills and knowledge in this field. It does also give me a lot more confidence in handling a machine. This training program is really a good expose for student. I think this program should be continuing in the future. I feel really proud to complete my In-Plant Training in KESM (M) SDN BHD because they are one of the leading companies in tester company. Its very thankful to work with other Open short, MCU and Oil Bath Department staff. This is a team that thought me teamwork in high level. Mr. Irwan is a leader and ast. Engineer in this department. A million thanks to him for gave me a lot of guidance and support during this training. A special thanks to Mr. Rahman as a foreman and Mr. Azman as an assistant foremen who give me a lot of knowledge and supervised me very well. I really appreciate their help and support during this training. Finally, to all staff from all departments such as Driver Department, Maintenance Department, Oven Department and Burn-in Department. All students at GMI in semester 5 have to undergo their industrial training, which is In-Plant Training for about 3 months. This is held for the first 3 months in their fifth semester. Other objective to undergo for this training is: To apply their educational experience and knowledge in the industry. Exposure the GMI student to working environment. To obverse student to the company rules and regulation. To get experiences to the training. To acquainted student with first hand knowledge of the aspect of work as they really are in the industry. To expose their self in Malaysia industry environments. To open their mind what they can be after gradated. Decide on the industries to seek employment upon graduation. Prepare their self before work in industry upon graduation. Summaries the task during the In-plant training. Conclude and comment on the suitability of the company as training place. To expose the student how to work in the grouping and independently and also increase their teamwork and have a good relationship among the workers. To give a chance for the students on getting an idea on designing a product for their Final Year Project.

I homing all the part at the machine. Power failure and I change the power supply 48volt with the new one. DATE: 14 JAN 2013 DESCRIPTION OF JOB/TASK/PROJECT Cover the MCU and Open Short Department ACTIVITIES/WORK PRODUCE MCU: Product missing in the machine, I open the chamber and take out all the tray and I find the product at the bottom of the chamber. Open Short: Bin 8 problem and I clean the pogo pin. Clean the contactor at the loadboard. Change the bush at the head part in the core section UTS machine. Quad head jammed and I use encoder kit to solve the problem. I homing all the part. I also spray the shaft that guide the quad head to move with the electronic spray. After spending about four month, training in KESM (M) SDN BHD, the trainee had fulfilled all the requirements in term of theoretical and practical which is related to their course taken that is Mechatronic in German Malaysian Institute (GMI). The trainee was also been exposed to industrials work life and all commitments such as time arrangement, troubleshooting, make innovation study were also been taught. The trainee had gained a profit and a lot of working experience which are not undergone before. A part from that, he also learns how to communicate with staff and make himself in comfort in industrial environmental. The trainee believed that he had successfully the objective of in plant training. All difficult things during the period of training assumed it only a split obstacle for him to be successfully in all diversity of work.

GERMAN-MALAYSIAN INSTITUTE Training for Advance Technology The main purpose of this in plant training is to get the trainee learn, expose, observe and adapt to actual working experience. This task can help the trainee to improve his communication skill, technical skill and etc. in any situation and circumstance. For such a purpose, these are some recommendation and suggestion that the trainee believe would give a one step forward and improve the effective of this in plant training: GMI should prepare or provide a special task for a company that the student is assign to, this will be the guide for the company to give any work for the trainee. GMI has to ensure their student to choose a company that has related to student course, this is to prevent from wasting time and problem occur while doing the practical. The training period should be lengthened so that the trainee can get more knowledge and hands-on skill. GMI should complete certain syllabus for the student before attend in plant training. All software which has a capability to design a die should be study so that they will not face a problem especially in designated a die. GMI should inform the company what they have to do to the trainee and take an immediate action of replacing the student to other suitable company. This will avoid the student from extend or repeat this task which is will totally fluent their future study.
