DESCRIPTION OF SUPPLY
No. 2 No. 2 No. 2 No. 2 No. 2 Mechanical Part, described on par. 2.1; Feeding Hoppers, described on par. 2.2; Discharging Hoods, described on par. 2.3; Local Control Panels, described on par. 2.4.1; Command & Control Switchboards, described on par. 2.4.2.

The supply is composed of the following items:

2.1

No. 2 BELT WEIGHFEEDERS model DPN/S 18-65

The Belt Weighfeeder, DPN/S model, is realized in sturdy steel structure and designed to be installed directly under the Storage Silo; in this way it can two important functions: Extraction from the Silo and Metering to the downstream equipment. The weight measure (read by SAET Load Cell) and the speed measure (read by SAET Tachometric Transducer) are elaborated by the WS210/D Measuring and Control Unit. WS200/D regulates the belt speed to keep the instantaneous flow rate near the flow rate set; it keeps a constant flow rate on the belt to guarantee, in all the regulation field (10100%), the accuracy of 0.5%.

2.1.1

Main Features

Each Belt Weighfeeder is composed of: 2.1.1.1 Structure (Frame)

The Structure is realized with HE-Beams in painted mild steel, suitable for the installation in industrialized environments with heavy-duty conditions, and designed to support the weight of the material stored in the Silo without deformations and, also, to guarantee the required accuracy. The structure is designed to be overhang supported by the legs positioned on the motor side; in this way the belt can be substituted without the total disassembling of the Weighfeeder (but only with the disassembling of legs on the side opposite to the motor side). 2.1.1.2 Belt

type

The belt is closed ring vulcanised rubber type, designed for coal extraction and transport. It is perfectly cylindrical and the junction hasnt irregularity to avoid errors in weight measurement. 2.1.1.3 Cleaning System

The Belt Weighfeeder has two cleaning system for Belt, one for internal surface and one for external surface. For the cleaning of Belt external surface it is used an transversal straight-shaped gum scraper, for the cleaning of Belt internal surface it is used a V-shaped gum scraper.

2.1.1.4

Rollers

The Belt is supported through a series of steel rollers, rotating on self-lubricant dust and moistureproof bearings. Rollers are designed to support, without deformations, the weight of the material stored in the Silo. 2.1.1.5 Drums (Pulleys)

The Motor Drum is designed to guarantee the correct traction and grip to the Belt; it is realized in painted carbon steel and covered with grooved rubber to avoid belt skidding. The Return Drum is installed on skids with a mechanical regulation system of the Belt positioning and alignment. Drums are installed on rollers/spheres bearings with grease refilling nozzles. 2.1.1.6 Self-Centering System

The Self-Centering System, gravity type, keeps the Belt centred and visualizes the Belt stretching. 2.1.1.7 Safety Systems

The Belt Weighfeeder has apposite Safety Systems to signal possible Belt drifting. 2.1.1.8 Weighing Bridge

The Weighing Bridge is realized with a special frame, swinging on lamellae cardanic hinge, and transmits the weight of material on the Belt to the Load Cell. The Load Cell is installed on the side of Weighfeeder, it is easy removable, it guarantees an accuracy of 0.05% and it has IP68 Protection Degree. The Weighing Bridge is supplied with supports to insert/remove the calibration weight for calibration/verification activities. 2.1.1.9 Electric Motor-Speed Reducer Group

The Belt is moved through a Group composed of Electric Motor-Speed Reducer. The Electric Motor, AC feeding and IP55 Protection Degree, is regulated by an Inverter (Variable Speed Driver). The Speed Reducer is Helical-Bevel Gearmotor type and it is directly connected to the Motor Drum shaft (in this way there arent transmission belts or chains). 2.1.1.10 Tachometric Transducer

Digital Tachometric Transducer to measure the Belt speed. The measure is done directly on the fast shaft of the Electric Motor; it is fed with 24 VDC and it has IP65 Protection Degree.
