Ingredients for More Successful Interactions

A two day experiential workshop that will improve your relationships.

About the Workshop
This workshop explores in-depth a model for helping us understand our interactions with others, and find solutions to misunderstandings and conflicts. It is an easy to learn and useful model for more constructive/healthier interactions both at work and in our private lives. The Ingredients of an Interaction Model explores how we interpret interactions, our defences that get triggered and our family/cultural rules that determine how we respond.

Facilitators

Bronwyn, a registered Psychologist (Industrial/ Organisational) with 20+ years as a consultant helping individuals and organisations achieve successful change (for more information see www.changed.co.nz). About Satir Is this for you?

How frequently do you find yourself taking things personally? Do you sometimes reflect on a conversation and wonder how on earth you both ended up in such different places? Do certain things people say trigger you off and you end up reacting in a way that takes the other person by surprise? Do you want to stay resilient during difficult interactions? Virginia Satir (1916-1988) was a visionary family therapist who was the first to treat a family as a system. Her model is focused on bringing about change to whom we are, freeing us from fears and reawakening a deep place of wisdom, allowing us to experience the present with greater clarity and courage. Satirs beliefs include: Most people do the best they can at any given time. People are basically good. They need to find their own treasures to connect and validate their own self-worth. We all have feelings and can learn to be in charge of them (rather than feelings being in charge of us). Each of us has all the internal resources we need to cope successfully and to grow. Change is always possible: even if external change is limited, internal change is possible.

If you find yourself saying yes to any of these, this workshop will be of benefit to you.
