LaunchingaShowfile 1.FromtheWholehogStartwindow,selectLAUNCHNEWSHOW. 2.EnteranameforyourshowfileintheSHOWNAMEbox(pressingtheSETkeywillbringupanonscreen keyboard),clickNEXT(onscreen) 3.Selectthelatestlibrarytoassociatewithyourshow(bydefaulttheconsolewillselectthisforyou:itis "fixturelib_v4"),clickFINISH. ConnectingDP2000sandDMXProcessor8000s

IfconnectingoneDPtoyourconsole,connectitviaaCROSSOVERCat5Ethernetcable. IfyouareconnectingmultipleDPs,thenconnecttheconsoleandallDPstoanetworkswitch usingpatch(noncrossover)cables. OnceyourDPisconnectedandtheshowislaunched,theconsolewillchecktheDP'ssoftwareversion.If theydonotmatch,theconsolewillpromptyoutoupgradetheDPtomatchthedesk.Simplyfollowthe promptsontheconsoleandtheconsolewillupgradetheDP. OpeningWindows HoldOPENandpressthekeycorrespondingtothedesiredDirectorywindow(Example:OPEN+GROUP, OPEN+LIST,etc) HoldOPENandselectawindowfromtheOpenToolbar(bottomoftherightmonitor) DoubletapthekeycorrespondingtoaDirectoryorWindow(Example:BEAMBEAM,CHOOSECHOOSE, etc) PressSETUPandselectawindowfromtheSetupToolbar(bottomoftherightmonitor) TouchaViewintheViewsToolbar(topoftheleftmonitor) ManipulatingWindows 1.Selectthewindowyouwishtomove,resize,etc.(youcansimplytouchittoselectit) 2.TouchthecorrespondingoptionintheWindowsToolbar(topoftherightmonitor)

ConnectingWings

1.ConnecttheWing(s)totheconsoleusingtheUSBcable.SomeWingsrequirealsorequireanexternal powersupply. 2.PresstheSETUPkeyandselectCONTROLPANELfromthemaintoolbar(bottomoftherightmonitor). 3.SelecttheWINGStabsontheleftsideoftheCONTROLPANEL 4.TouchanyPlaybackbar'sdropdownmenuandselectyourWingviatheWing'sIDnumber. 5.Onceselected,clickthebuttonwiththelightbulbtopingyourWing.ThiswillcausetheWing'sLEDsto flashlettingyouknowithasbeenconfiguredcorrectly. 6.Clickingthebuttontotherightofthelightbulbwilldisplaya"PlaybackBar,"whichwillshowthe contentsofwhathasbeenrecordedtothatWingonanygivenpage.

Tip:IfyouareusingaminiwingandwouldliketodragthePlaybackbartoanexternalmonitor,simply doubleclickonthe2verticalbarsattheleftsideoftheplaybackbar.Thiswillundockthebarandyoucan thendragittotheexternalmonitor.Draganddropittothebottomoftheexternalmonitoranditwillre dockitself.

ConnectingWidgets

1.ConnecttheWidgetorSuperwidgettotheconsole(RoadhogFullBoar,HogiPCorHog3PConyour computer)ortotheDMXProcessor8000.Superwidgetsalsorequiretheirexternalpowersupply. 2.PresstheSETUPkeyandselectNETWORKfromthemaintoolbar(bottomoftherightmonitor). 3.IntheNetworkwindow,clickontheNet#oftheDMXProcessoryouarepatchedto.Thecellwillgeta redboxaroundit.

4.ClicktheSETTINGSbuttonatthebottomofthewindow 5.Inthepopupwindow,selectWIDGETOUTPUTS 6.ClickonthedropdownfortheuniversewhereyouwouldliketoassignyourWidgetandselectyour Widget'sID. 7.ClickOK. Note:YouwillfirstneedtopatchanyorallfixturesinordertoopenSettingswindow.

PATCHING AddingtheFixtures 1.OpentheFixtureWindowbyholdingtheOPENkeyandpressingtheFIXTUREkey.(orpressSETUPand selectPATCHfromyourMainToolbar). 2.ClickFIXTURESCHEDULEfromthetopoftheFixtureWindow. 3.Inthepopup,scrolldowntofindthemanufacturerofthefixture(s)youwanttoadd.Clickonthe manufacturer'snametoexpandthelistoftheirfixtures. 4.Locateandhighlight(click)thenameofthefixtureyouaretryingtoadd. 5.PresstheSETkeyandenterthequantityoffixturesyouhaveofthattype. 6.Repeatthisprocesstoaddany/allofyourotherfixturesandthenclickOK.

ChangingtheUserNumbers

TheUserNumbersarehowyou willselectyourfixturesinthe programmer,soyouwantto makethemunique.Thisnumber doesnotaffectorutilizethe addressofthefixtures

1.IntheFixtureWindow,thesecondcolumn(labeled"Num")representstheUserNumbers. 2.ClickonanyUserNumbercell,hittheSETkeyandtypeinanewUserNumber,followedbyENTER. 3.TochangeagroupofUserNumbers,clickonthefirstUserNumber'scellanddragdowntothelastcell. PressSETandkeyinthefirstUserNumber,followedbyENTER.Theconsolewilllabelthegroup sequentially. PatchinganIndividualFixture 1.KeyintheUserNumberofthefixtureyouwanttopatch,andthenpressthe@key. 2.Inthepopupwindow,selecttheDPthatyou'dliketopatchtofromtheleftsidewindow.

1.OpentheFixturewindowbyholdingtheOPENkeyandpressingtheFIXTUREkey. 2.AtthetopoftheFixturewindow,pressAUTOPALETTES 3.InthePopUpwindow,clickGENERATE RecordingGroups 1.SelectthefixturesthatyouwishtostoreintheGroupbykeyingintheirUserNumbers. 2.ThiswillputthosefixturesintotheProgrammer. 3.EnsurethatthefixturesyouwantstoredareActivelySelected(thesearethefixtureslistedindarkblue intheProgrammerwindow) 4.PresstheRECORDkeyandtouchanyemptyboxintheGroupDirectorywindow. 5.PresstheSETkeyandenteraname,followedbyENTER 6.CleartheProgrammerbypressingtheCLEARkey.
