Marina Cantarutti (2012) OBSERVATION GUIDE How to go about this guide: a) As you sit in the class, take a look at the setting: look at teacher and students talking and doing things, look at the classroom, look at the materials. b) As the lesson progresses, take down everything you see and hear (including your own impressions before, during and after the class!). Focus on: Teacher language Class procedure Students reactions and questions Use of resources Use of the board Student performance before and after the teaching stage. c) Complete this guide after the lesson, once you go back to your notes. 1.
