Our strength is as follows: In Nepal there is no online Tiffin delivery for office goers As most of the people today are employed in various sectors. They often complain for nice food in their office surrounding. The concept will help the office goers to save time and maintain health with healthy food. Big strength is that the food will be delivered to the desk. Since the concept is new we have the first mover advantage.

2. Weaknesses Since the concept is new in Nepal we have no existing competitor to learn from. The cost of delivery may be high The market may not seem favorable due to the first time business.

Supply Chain Management of khaja.com:

The management of supply chain of khaja.com includes the following: 1. Inbound logistics 2. Internal processing 3. Outbound logistics 1. Inbound logistics:
14

The main focal point of inbound logistic is the management of the inventory to meet the demand of the customers. Since khaja.com is online selling of tiffin to registered, prepaid customers the forecasting of demand could be easily done by quantifying the number of registered customers. So the demand would be managed by the no. of registered customers. For the management of demand the wholesaler i.e the supplier would be informed a day prior to the operation. We would maintain a JIT (just in time) inventory system. The inventory would be delivered by the supplier few hours before the actual manufacturing process in our khaja.com. The following would be the suppliers for khaja.com kalimati tarkari bazar baneshwor tarkari bazaar I kalu meat shop

These wholesalers would be informed about the demand a day before. The supplier would then supply the quoted items 10 am in the morning. Every day the same inbound process would be repeated with inventory on hand for 2 to 3 hours. The basic outline of the SCM (supply chain management) of khaja.com would appear as follow:
Tarkari bazar Khaja.com Delivery channel Customer

Grocery shop

2. Internal Processing: Once the supplier supplies the items, these are now ready for the processing. Since khaja.com concentrates on lunch timing, the whole order is estimated to be between 1pm3pm. Kamaladi has been chosen as the central order receiving center. The order thus would be processed according to the delivery location. The diagram below represents the actual processing of the order. The internal operation has been decentralized in baneshwor, newroad, chabhil, patan and kamaladi being the central office once the order is placed by the customer, the central order receiving center i.e kamaladi will forward the order via telephone according to the delivery location. Now the whole process of preparing the lunch, delivering and receiving the payment will be done by the branches.
15

3. Outbound Logistics: This section will deal with the delivery of the lunch. The delivery would be done on bicycle. The delivery boys would be hired and the payment to the delivery boy would be on the no. of delivery basis. Delivery rate is charged as Rs 50 per delivery and the delivery would be done from all the branches in the same basis and same rate. Following are the estimated area coverage for the branches.
