ABOUT THE SEMINAR MEMS and Nano technology are the emerging technical field which are extensively used for designing small and useful devices/systems to satisfy the real world requirements. These system devices and materials can be used to advance biomedical applications, energy systems, security systems, and consumer applications. Micro-Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS) and Nanotechnology have proven to be a key enabling technology of developments in sectors such as transportation, telecommunications and healthcare, but the range of their applications covers nearly every sector. The most significant advantage of them is their ability to communicate easily with semiconductor chips. Other advantages include MEMS compact size, reduced power consumption, lower cost and increased reliability. The growth in the use of MEMS and nanotechnology has also led to the creation of supporting industries in areas such as MEMS design software, design services, specialty fabrication equipment and fabrication facilities. The seminar will be of great opportunity to understand the fundamentals and remarkable technical progress in this field.
