Color Graphics Reports

Graphics reports are color bar and/or line reports representing Corrosion Monitoring database information. The reports have both color and black & white capability. Use either of the following methods to access the color graphics reports: 1. Select the Color Graphics Reports option from the Reports menu. 2. Select the icon from the toolbar. The window shown in Figure 19 - 1 will be displayed.

You must enter the following information: Area - This 8 character alphanumeric field represents a section of your plant or facility. You can enter the Area via the keyboard or select a choice from the pull-down menu.

19-1

Eq/Circ ID - This 16 character alphanumeric field represents the identifier that has been associated with a piece of equipment within the selected Area. . You can enter the Eq/Circ ID via the keyboard or select a choice from the pull-down menu. Type - This 8 character alphanumeric field represents the descriptive text associated with the Eq/Circ ID. Class - This 3 character alphanumeric field represents the piping classification based on API recommendations. RBI - This 2 character alphanumeric field represents the risk-based inspection indicator for the Eq/Circ Id. Type of Graph - You may select one of the following types of Graphs: TML Line Graph - This graph shows all thickness data and associated dates for the selected TML. The lines through the thickness data depict the Long term, Short Term and Best Fit Corrosion Rates along with the TML retirement thickness. Additional information on the graph includes the TMLCR and TML Retirement and Inspection Dates. When this Graph is selected, fields are displayed on the right-hand side of the window for you to select the appropriate TML (see Figure 19 - 2).

First TML to Plot - Select from the pull-down the TML that you want depicted on the Graph. View TMLs - Choose this button to display a listing of all TMLs for the selected equipment (see Figure 19 - 3). This is useful if there are numerous TMLs and if you base your selection on more detailed TML information. Select the TML that you want and choose the OK button. The TML number will be displayed in the First TML to Plot field.

Figure 19 - 3 TML View Window

TML Thickness Bar Graph - This graph shows the most recent reading taken at each location for the selected TML. When this Graph is selected, fields are displayed on the right-hand side of the window for you to select the appropriate TML (see Figure 19 - 2 and Figure 19 - 3).

Eq/Circ ID Rates - This graph shows the calculated Short Term Rate, Long Term Rate, Best Fit Rate and Representative TMLCR for the selected TML as wells as the statistical RCR for the complete Eq/Circ ID. When this Graph is selected, fields are displayed on the right-hand side of the window for you to select the appropriate TML (see Figure 19 - 2 and Figure 19 - 3).

Eq/Circ ID Summary - This graph shows the statistical Representative Corrosion Rate and Retirement Date for a list of Eq/Circ IDs. When this Graph is selected, fields are displayed on the right-hand side of the window for you to select the appropriate date and RCR range (see Figure 19 - 4).

Inclusive Date Range - Select from the pull-down the starting month/year and ending month/year for which you want data retrieved and displayed on the graph. RCR >= <user input> AND RCR<= <user input> - You must input the Representative Corrosion Rate range for which you want data retrieved and displayed on the graph. Inspection Planning - by Months - This graph shows the number of Eq/Circ IDs due for inspection in the specified time frame. The data is displayed by months. When this Graph is selected, fields are displayed on the right-hand side of the window for you to select the appropriate date range (see Figure 19 - 5).

Inclusive Date Range - Select from the pull-down the starting month/year and ending month/year for which you want data retrieved and displayed on the graph. Inspection Planning - by Years - This graph shows the number of Eq/Circ IDs due for inspection in the specified time frame. The data is displayed by years. Retirement Planning - by Months - This graph shows the number of Eq/Circ IDs due for retirement in the specified time frame. The data is displayed by months.

HELPFUL HINT
The Inspection and Retirement Planning graphs are generated from Eq/Circ IDs whose inspection and retirement dates are calculated from both standard Corrosion Monitoring and vessels in PVCalc.

Include PVCalc Eq/Circ IDs If you are a PVCalc user, you can use this checkbox to include or exclude PVCalc Eq/Circ ID entries in your graphics reports. This can be helpful for users that duplicate a vessel in both standard Corrosion Monitoring (with TMLs that have a T-Min) and PVCalc. View/Print Button - Select this button to view and/or print the Graph that you selected. When a graph is displayed, there are icons available in the graphs toolbar (located at right-hand side of graph) that allow you to do the following: View Prior item; Eq/Circ ID, TML, Month or Year depending on graph. View Next item; Eq/Circ ID, TML, Month or Year depending on graph. View Prior Page of Eq/Circ IDs, TMLs, Months or Years depending on graph View Next Page of Eq/Circ IDs, TMLs, Months or Years depending on graph Print the Graph - Printing can be for a single page, range of pages or all pages for a large report as follows:

UltraPIPE has provided you with the capability to customize your graphs to satisfy your in-house requirements or your personal preferences. By double clicking on different parts of the graph, you can change the text, fonts, colors, size, formats, axis attributes, axis positions, axis labels, etc. For example, if you displayed a graph and double-clicked on the title, the window shown in Figure 19 - 6 would be displayed. You could change the title, text, the font of the text, the color of the text, the size of the text and/or the format of the text.
