AFFIDAVIT OF FINANCIAL SUPPORT

Universities in the United States require verification of adequate financial support before admitting an international student for
study. Texas State University-San Marcos requires that this form be completed and submitted by the financial sponsor of the
prospective student prior to enrollment. Additionally, documentary proof that the financial sponsor possesses sufficient financial
resources for at least one year's total expenses must be attached to this form. Sponsors in the U.S. must also certify that the
prospective student will not become a public charge during his/her stay in the United States, and guarantee that the
nonimmigrant will maintain nonimmigrant status if admitted temporarily and will depart prior to the expiration of their authorized
stay in the United States. Completion of this form does not imply admission or acceptance.
