Vehicle maneuverability

The maneuverability of the vehicle refers to the control that has the driver of the vehicle and there but have to do some systems primarily braking and steering does the weight transfer. Each time a car makes a move on acceleration, retention, braking, turning, etc.. there is a weight transfer that we see in the compression of the suspension. As we have seen the coefficient of friction of the tires depends on the weight falling on them and that adherence is also proportional to the weight, so we have to develop the suspensions to optimize performance in different conditions transfer variables.

When braking the opposite happens, the rear is unloaded and compressed striker also changes the suspension geometry, so the braking is higher in the front. To reduce these effects are designed suspension with anti sag. For the longitudinal collapse joints are designed at an angle to help control these movements as a function of center of gravity. Also when cornering the centrifugal force causes a transfer of weight to the wheel outside of the bend is directly proportional to the centrifugal force and the center of gravity and inversely proportional to the route of the vehicle. This transfer is shown by the body roll and makes the anvelope inside the curved lateral losing adhesion ability, traction and braking, and increases adhesion of the exterior. For roll control are used: control of the center of gravity, gauge variation, hardness of springs and stabilizer bar especially. In this way we can solve these problems and get a better handling of the vehicle. Performance A vehicle will be an assessment to review their performance in different circumstances or management environments, these have always to do with mechanical issues, energy and environment. The necessary tests are carried out either in the laboratory or road depending on the requirements thereof. When testing is quantified road vehicle performance associated with the conditions of the operating area of the same. The SAE has developed protocols for assessing various parameters that define the behavior of the vehicles. These protocols are internationally approved therefore adopted for the evaluation of the vehicles. The protocol selected for use in the evaluation of vehicles to assess the aspects necessary to quantify each type of performance in a simple, accurate and reliable.

For mechanical performance means everything about the parts that affect vehicle movement evaluated. The major parties, but not the only, are: the engine, the fuel system and transmission. Environmental performance involves everything related to pollutant emissions of a vehicle. Internal combustion engines are affected by environmental conditions, particularly the altitude, therefore it is important to measure the concentrations of pollutants in the combustion products. This performance can be measured with the procedures established in the protocols. Comfort The comfort in the car is also important as it also helps the operator to make better management and have greater maneuverability of the unit. Comfort is what produces well-being and comfort. Any pleasant or unpleasant feeling that humans feel you cannot concentrate on what you have to do. At the end of the day, for an activity humans must ignore the environment, must be comfort. But every day vehicles are made with more comfort as instrument panels, seats and more.
