Apply Here: www.<Company Name>careers.com/applicants/ ******************************************************************************** ******************************** Desired Skills & Experience Responsibilities: * Implement logical and physical models for all layers of the data warehouse data model * Develop and implement data migration scripts * Develop necessary modeling documentation as requested by the project team * Participate in performance tuning activities including partitioning strate gies, indexing strategies, and SQL optimization * Map data elements of data sources into the domain data models * Determine and document business rules to be applied to data cleansing * Coordinate with development/vendor/implementation team to improve model fo rmats and approaches with regard to implementation issues * Plans and implements strategies for bundling software for loads into multi ple environments * Assists in all aspects of implementation of normalized Relational and Mult i-dimensional Data Models * Providing logical/physical modeling and design services * Assisting in the development of project plans and deliverable lists for pr oposed projects * Assisting the ETL team in defining requirements for data acquisition, inte gration, and population * Developing and maintaining data architecture, data management standards an d conventions, data dictionaries, data element naming standards and data diction ary metadata standards * Coordinating activities related to the planning, monitoring and execution

of history retention/purging and data warehouse recovery * Collaborating with team members regarding industry standard data managemen t practices * Documents and provides insight into Best Practices for Data Warehousing ba sed on expertise and years of experience in data warehouse design and/or data mo deling * Participates in Cross Functional Reviews/Peer Reviews as an Author or Revi ewer * Follows configuration and change management processes * Coordinates with the Requirements Team to understand requirements, provide feedback, and request clarification as needed * Provides timely, complete and relevant input into schedule and planning fo r the implementation of the Data Warehouse * Responsible for the logical design and implementation of databases and dat a systems * May be involved in resolving complex data related issues

Requirements: * Expert knowledge data system platforms and database programming languages * Expert knowledge of data security management systems * Expert at resolving data related issues including complex data modeling ch allenges * Ability to make and decide upon Architecture tradeoffs and successfully de cided and communicate system tradeoffs * Extensive knowledge of data warehouse modeling concepts such as dimensiona l modeling, Ralph Kimball methodology, slowly changing dimensions, operational d ata stores and OLAP * Ability to influence those with whom the incumbent has no direct superviso ry authority and demonstrated ability to effectively interface with business and technology communities * Takes the initiative to act on issues and possesses the ability to work in dependently to develop and recommend solutions * Knowledge of industry best practices for design and deployment * Knowledge of standards applications in physical data storage, maintenance, access, and security * Ability to perform backups and database recovery * Ability to develop data requirements and configure database parameters acc ordingly * Able to effectively relate his/her technical expertise to varying organiza tional needs * Knows when and how the technical content can be legitimately tailored to f it different departments and customer needs * Bachelor of Science Degree in computer engineering, computer science, info rmation management, related field or equivalent * 8+ years of experience in data warehouse modeling Company Description Additional Information Posted: Date Type: Full-time Experience: Director
