PNMT Features and Benefits

q Hierarchical Network view Facilitates navigation through the different hierarchical levels (root sub map link summary [equipment/units]). w Network map The managed network is shown graphically in the map view window, along with symbols/icons of different colors which indicate status. e Event Log display Current events in the managed network are color-coded and displayed in the Event Log window. r Link Summary display In addition to the selected NE, the opposite NE is also displayed, making troubleshooting and maintenance much easier and more efficient. t Active Alarm display All active alarms in the managed network can be displayed. y Alarm History display A list of recent alarms, including occurrence and recovery time stamps for each alarm, can be displayed. You can display all alarms, or set the filtering function to display only certain alarms. u Event Log History display Notified events can be stored in the PNMS, and you can display all of these events, or set the filtering function to display only certain events. i Alarm/Event Filter display The alarms/events to be displayed can be filtered based on a time period, status, NE name and alarm/event item in Alarm History and Event Log History windows.

NECs PASOLINK Network Management Terminal feature allows the use of a mobile terminal such as a laptop PC to access local/remote equipment for maintenance. The PNMT can be connected to any PASOLINK family NE from any location in the network. The selected NE is then monitored and controlled together with its opposite NE in the link in essentially the same manner as the PNMS Link Summary window is used.
