    The government of Andhra Pradesh issued an order extending the deadline for filing applications regarding the regularization of surplus urban land taken under the Urban Land Ceiling Act of 1976. Previous orders had extended the deadline to November 30th, 2008 and allowed double rates to be charged for late applications. However, some vacant land remains occupied by third parties or landowners who did not apply due to lack of awareness. Therefore, the government order further extends the deadline for receiving applications indefinitely, while continuing to charge double rates, to properly dispose of these cases.

    r Regularization of surplus land taken possession under the provisions of principal Act, 1976 Further extension of time to file applications Orders Issued REVENUE (UC.I) DEPARTMENT G.O.Ms.No. 1480 Dated: 11.12.2008 Read the following:-

    1) G.O.Ms.No.747, Revenue (UC.I) Department, Dated.18.6.2008 2) G.O.Ms.No. 1076, Revenue (UC.I) Dept., dt. 1.9.2008 3) G.O.Ms.No. 1173, Revenue (UC.I) Dept., dt. 6.10.2008. *** ORDER: In the G.O. first read above, Government have issued policy guidelines for allotment of surplus lands taken possession under the provisions of Principal Act, 1976, in favour of 3rd parties/land owners in occupation. In the said G.O., the last date for submission for applications was fixed as 30.8.2008. 2. In the G.Os second and third read above, Government issued orders extending the date for submission of applications from time to time upto 31.10.2008 and also allowed the time for filing applications upto 30.11.2008 duly charging double the existing rates prescribed in G.O. first read above. 3. It has come to notice of Government that vacant surplus land are still under occupation of third parties/ land owners with structure or in vacant condition and they could not file applications due to lack of awareness or otherwise and it will be difficult to dispose such cases, If there is no provision to accept applications, The NRIs, Senior Citizens and the third parties have requested to extend the time for filing applications in view of the notices being served in the past four months. 4. Accordingly, Government, after careful examination of the matter and in the interest of public, hereby extend the date for receipt of applications beyond 30.11.2008, with double the rates prescribed under G.O. first read above, until further orders.
