Robs Computer Service, Etc. opened in January of 2008. Since then, over 700 customers have received Robs services. It has been a very successful venture and Robs has provided good quality service at very acceptable rates. Robs Computer Service, Etc. is going to be making some restructuring changes come October 2013. While still doing basic computer repair, some changes will be made. Rob will continue to be doing more low level services such as virus and spy ware removals as well as basic computer repair such as tune ups, system recovery and new PC set up. Replacement of basic parts like hard drives, memory, power supplies, add-on devices and things along those lines will still be offered. As well as software installation will be done. However, motherboard, processor and soldering of components will no longer be done. Rob will be able to recommend replicable computer repair service providers in the nearby area that could help you out in those circumstances. New to the Etc. part of Robs, will be the regular offering of a variety of non-certified computer related sessions. After having been asked on numerous occasions over the years about doing this, Rob has decided that it is time to offer this type of service. These sessions will consist of Basic Computer Operation in various operating systems. Windows XP to Windows 8. Sessions will also be available on word processing, spreadsheets, publications and presentations. There will also be some sessions in regards to Internet use, email programs, image editing, basic web site creation and CD/DVD burning, as well as any other customized sessions based on specific needs, if it can be done. The sessions themselves will be non-certified, and will be targeted for those who just want to have some basic instruction on how to operate certain applications, programs or basically, the computer itself. Rob has instructed at the K-8 grade in school, as well as for his former colleagues while working at Eastman Kodak in Rochester, New York. Session rates are $10 for a 1 hour session and $15 for two hour session. Some topics could require two sessions to complete.
