The Shri Govindaraja mills Limited initially started in 1978 in the name of Sri Ramalinga mills "A" Uint.our unit was formed by Sri Sathu T.Ramasamy Naicker who was the founder of organization. The foundation stone was laid by Honorable Sri.Rajiv Gandhi former prime minister of India on 02-10-1988.our unit is located at Melakandamangalam village, Aruppukottai Taluk, Virudhunagar (disk), Company name : Shri Govindaraja mails Limited.. Area of Land Investment : 30 acres. : 101 crores.

Main production: cotton yarn The Shri Govindaraja mills Limited separated from Sri Ramalinga mills Limited A" Unit in the yarn of the cotton. The SGML incorporated in 1980 is primary engaged in the manufacture of cotton yarn. Our units commenced in production on 2406-1989. SGML is part of the Sri Jayavilas Group ("the group, founded by late Mr.Sathu T.Ramasamy Naicker), SGML is set up under the Sri Govindaraja Group, Which was established by his son Mrs.T.R.Varadharajan (son of Late Mr.Sathu T.Ramasamy Naicker) and is managed by his son Mr.T.R.V.Ramkumar at present. Sri Govindaraja Group of comprise five others entities besides SGML, in yarn spinning (cotton/polyester/viscose).The Shri Govindaraja mills as government Recognized export house.

HISTORY OF THE COMPANY:


The Jayavilas group of companies, based in Aruppukottai,is one of the largest industrial groups in south india.Sri Sathu T.Ramasamy Naicker founded it in 1935.Starting with the Bus Trasport,this groups diversified into the textile business the Jayavilas group of companies is now the largest spinner in India, consisting of 16 reputed spinning mills with a combined capacity of 8 Lask spindle.res and 15000 rotors. The group has further diversified into food products, blue matel mining, and agriculture and is also the largest bus fleet operator in Tamilnadu.The SGM is units in 15 at Tamilnadu.The and Andhra.

markets for the year 20-2010

MANAGEMENT:
In this group each mill is having a Board of Directors. Then depending upon the quantum and nature of work there are managing directors and Executive Directors acting under the guidance if the board of directors .all the directors in the group are well qualified, experienced and widely travels word-over in connection with business affairs. Further the top level management is assisted by well qualified and experienced Staff members in administration.finance.production,quality control,marketing.labour management etc.,

DETAILED EXPERIENCE OF KEY DIRECTORS OF THE GRUOP: Sri.T.R.Varadarajan, Managing Directors is aged about 70 years and is a graduate of Madras University. He is fourth son of Mr.Sathu T.Ramasamy Naicker, the

founder of the bigger Jayavilas grouped is well experienced in the textiles industry, transport industry and business for about 45 years. He has widely traveled in foreign countries. Sri T.R.V.Ramkumar, Executive Directors is the son of Sri.T.R.Varadarajan and is aged about 35 years. He is a commerce graduate from Madras University and also futher post graduated with an M.B.A., from Phikadelphia University (U.S.A).He has 13 years experience in textile, transport, finance,prtrolem products retail business etc., and He is looking after the adminstration,finance,production,purchase and sales of the mills in the members. 'B'Unit of the Shri Ramalinga mills limited. Which is now managed by Sri.T.R.Varadarajan was started on 16.6.92 with the capacity of 16128 Spindles. Present licensed capacity of the 'B'Unit is 50,000 the installed capacity is 37,092Main activity is manufacturing of cotton yarn, polyester yarn, polyester Cotton andpolyesterViscose Blended yarn.

(v)SHRI GOVINDARAJA TEXTILES PRIVATE LIMITED


Incorporated on 21st April 1999. Factory Unit I, located at Pulivendula, Andhraparadesh and Unit II located at Madathupatti Village, Aruppukottai Factory newly started in Pulivendula Andhraparadesh with 121680 spindles and 1664 Rotors capacity and 50,400 spindles in Aruppukottai.

(vi)SRI JAYAVARATHAN SPINNING MILLS LIMITED


Incorporated on 22ND April 1992. Factory located at258, Thiruchli Road Aruppukottai Factory newly started with the installed capacity of 1416 Rotors.

PURCHASE DEPARTMENT:
Company purchases the cotton mainly the place oothangarai and krishnagiri one year cotton purchase value is Rs.250 crores.100% cotton is performed in this mill. The company has 12 godowns. 17157 bales has value of Rs.362496177.The amount paid to the suppliers in the period of 21 days.90% of the amount is paid in first and then the remaining 10% of the amount is to paid.

SALES DEPARTMENT: Company deals with 75% agentsand 25%direct consumers. Per day minimum 70 lakes sales are performed. The yarn mainly selling to MAHARASTRA, GUJARAT, RAJASTAN, DELHI AND, CALCUTTA, The company has 250 customers. The price of the yarn differ from its count 100-Rs.440 80-Rs.370 60-Rs.290. Immediate transactional are performed in the delivery of the yarn. Maximum 250 tones and minimum 70 tones tube sold in a month. Yarn sold to the other countries like KOREA, CHINA, HONG KONG.

Local orders has 5% value added tax (VAT).Other state has 2% value added tax. And loom has no tax.

PRESIDENT REVIEW:
President of the company T.R.V.Ramkumar are visited in the company for HR level meeting. For meeting purpose decrease the absenteeism of the workers.
