Q.No 1: What will be the effect when there is RSSI Issue on Site?

Ans: Due To RSSI issue CSSR will be decreased and CDR will increase. Capacity will reduced due to RSSI issue.MS Tx power is inceased and bettry will consume earlier. Q.No 2: How can we find the Board type for BTS in BSC? Ans: Run the Command LST BTSLNK in LMT and find the subrack and slot number for that BTS in BSC.Then Go To Equipment Panel and open the subrack and check the Board type on that specific sSlot number. Q.No 3: During Media Verification gateway IP is Ping. Whether this Ping is From BSC to BTS or BTS to BSC? Ans : When we Ping the Gateway during media verification, actually we ping the BTS from BSC. Q.No 04:What value of media delay is acceptable during site audit? Ans: Less than 5 msec. Q.No 05: A1 has Alarm on E1 Mean? Ans: Q No 06 :What command is used to Check the BER on E1s? Ans: DSP CBTSLNKSTAT Q.No 07: How can we check the number of 1X and DO users on BTS? Ans: By running DSP USERNUM command we can check the no of 1X and DO Users on BTS. Q.No 08: What are the channels used for 450MHz? There are 3 channels for 450 MHz. (1) 146 (2) 207 (3) 268

Q.No 09: How we can Add the channels on BTS: Ans: By Using ADD CDMACH we can add the channels. Q.No 10: Can we use the DSP SESSION is for 1X or not? Ans: DSP SESSION is only used for DO. Q.No 11: What command is used to change the LAC and REG Zone? Ans: MOD CELL is used for LAC Change and MOD SPM is used for REG Zone.

Q.No 12: What are the Possible risks in LAC changing? Ans: To many Registrations on LAC boundries.Pagging success rate will decrease. It will also affect the Mobile battery. Q.No 13: By default what will be neighbors priority if not given? Ans: By default NBR priority is 1 if not given. Q.No 14: In Normal Block what will happen? Ans: In Normal Blocking Carrier will be block after some specific time period and users are released forcedly after time period is expired adjusted by LMT operator. Q.No 15: How we can check the whether antenna is faulty or not? Ans: From Tx Power Trace on LMT we can confirm that antenna is fault or not. Q.No 16:If stats are not available for some site what will be reason? Ans: Site is not synchronize with iManage(M2000).Or BTS version is not supporting the counters for which are queried.Or counters configuration are missing g in M2000. Q.No 17: After How many time stats are available from M2000? Ans:After granularity period stats are available. Q.No 18:Is there difference in Alarms that are collected from M2000 and Airbridge? Ans: No,Both are same and can be exported in excel format. Q.No 19:What wiil be the Procedure to remove the PN duplication in Neighbors Addition? Ans: First list the PN of Site for which we are adding the neighbores.LST CELL command is used for this purpose.then List those sites have same PNs as our site has.List the Neighbors of 2nd site which we want to add in our site. Then check which site is already added having same PN in the 2nd site. Then Remove the site Neighbor having same PNs as our site has.when Removal is done then add the neighbors. Q.No 20: In RSSI Trace in Airbridge what value we note? Ans:We check the Average Main RSSI and Average Diversity values.RSSI will be Ok in the range(-94 to 114) .And Imbalance should not be more than 6. Q .No 21:If RSSI is abnormal it will effect uplink or downlink speed? Ans: It will affect the uplink and uploading speed will be less?

Q.No 22: should we assign same PNs for 5 Neighboring Sites? Ans: No same PNs should not assign the neighboring sites. Q.No 23: If Same PNs are assign to neighboring sites then what will effect? Ans: Call will not established if same PNs are assign to neighboring sites. Q.No24: What is the minimum distance for PN reuse? Ans: It must not be less than 10km in case of city sites. Q.No 25: What changes should be made if call does not connect to 925 or 950? Ans: we apply the Load balancing algorithm so that call connects on both 925 and 950 with equal priority. Q.No 26: What are channels used in forward direction during call setups? Ans: Pilot channel,Pagging Channel, Synchronous channel and traffic channel. Q.No 27: After How many day sites will be exit from M2000 and stats are not available for those sites? Ans: If site is down for 2day its stats will not be available in M2000. Q.No 28: Search Window size increases what will be the affect? Ans: Handoff margin region is increased and handoff process is slow. Q.No29: What will be the affect if LAC size is small and Large? Ans: Loading Effect Q.No30: Which stats are used to check the LAC load? Ans: Paging channels related stats are used to check the LAC load. Q.No 31: What is role of LAC and REG Zone? Ans: LAC is used for the Paging Purpose. And REG Zone is used for the registration of mobile. Q.No 32: What will be drawback if LAC is not used? Ans:If LAC concept is not used then paging message is transmitted to the whole network that will increase the load on system. By defining LAC signaling load on system is reduced. Q.No 33:What will be drawback of small size LAC and REG Zone? Ans: If LAC is small then to many registration occurs and signaling load is increased.

Q.No34: what are the unsuccessfully Soft handoff reasons? Ans: 1) Neighbors are missing. 2) Neighbors Priorities are not adjusted properly. 3) Hardware issue on neighboring site. 4) Unavailability of resources on neighboring sites. 5) GPS is faulty. Q.No 35: Is Soft handoff is possible between 925 and 950 carriers? Ans: No Only Hard handoff will occur between 925 and 950 carriers. Q.No 36: Handoff types in Huawei? Ans:. Q.No 37: Virtual Handoff and Soft handoff difference? Ans: Q.No 38: If customer require to prioritize the voice service over data service. Is huawei system Allow this. Ans: Yes, System allows the priority adjustment both for voice and data services. Q.No 39: If Access channel load is high, how can we check it? Ans: . Q.No 40: If traffic load is high what will be the effect? Ans: RSSI will increase,CSSR Will decrease. Q.No 41: Is soft handoff is possible between Sites having different subrack? Ans: Yes, soft handoff is possible if soft handoff link is defined otherwise not. Q.No42 :Is Inter BSC soft handoff is possible in 1X? Ans: Yes, It is possible. Q.No 43: How can we resolve the throughput issue? 1) By resolving media issues. 2) By carrier binding incase of Rev B.

3) Creating Single user environment. 4) Clossing All unnecessary software and programs on Laptop when throughput testing is perform. Q.No44: What is Hot standby? Ans: Hot standby is used at MSC level and it is used to copy all information of Active Board. Q.No 45: If DT Engineer is 3 km away from site and he ask that he is not receiving all Rev B carriers what will be the solution? Ans: As the user go away from BTS it release the carrier because terminal have not sufficient power to carry the 3 carriers as it is 3 km or more than that away from the BTS
