Masala Crab Fry - Goan Style- Worth a try

One of my BIGGEST reasons to visit GOA has always been the love for relishing Masala Crab Fry Goan Style at the ever so popular Calangute Beach Restaurant called Souza Lobo.

This time again on a recent visit I visited Souza Lobo and relished this delicious crab recipe.

Last year when I tried to replicate this recipe of Crab Xec Xec instead of Masala Crab Fry.

The most unique ingredient I realised was in Goan Food recipes is the Coconut Toddy Vinegar which I smartly purchased from Mapusa Market and it was a Home made one.

After having returned to Navi Mumbai, I really wanted to recreate this recipe at home and I did the same successfully for dinner yesterday.

In today's blog post, I am going to describe this unique Crab Recipe-Goan style.

Hope the readers would try to make and enjoy.

4. Finely chop the onions.

5. Soak the tamarind ball in warm water to turn it into fine pulp.

6. Heat oil in a fry pan ( Shallow fry method)

7. Add finely chopped onions and cook over medium flame till the onions turns dark brown.

8. Then, Add the marinated crabs and stir fry slowly over medium heat for over 5 minutes.

9. Add the Masala paste ( red colour) to the crabs and continue to stir fry.

10. Check for salt and add sugar and tamarind pulp.
