Responsible as a Data Stage Administrator

Monitoring Data stage jobs/sequences while different batches are running. Scheduling /Re-scheduling/De-scheduling of the batch. Cleaning up the resources, killing the session of the job in case of long running. Monitoring the batch through Data Stage Director, Putty and TOAD. Providing the updates to the clients regarding the batch run. Manual submission of Sequences by selecting appropriate scheduler name, Instance name, sequence name, Meta data condition and Invocation ID. First point of contact in case of failure in batch run. Provide root cause analysis in case of issue or error. Resetting of jobs/Sequences after abort and before submitting the sequence. Deployment of codes in both environments first in QA (quality assurance) and then same codes in Production live. Post deployment running the Batch/job/sequence to check deployed codes are working as per business rules and requirement. Working with a team of 14 members, assigning the task to juniors, preparing them for challenges with the help of KT(Knowledge transfer). Import/Export of archives (in the form of DSX). Maintaining the Configuration files backup as well as code of data stage as part of weekly backup. Arranging team meeting twice in a week, License Audit and Management for all application team. Participating with manager for billing issues. Attending the Leads meeting with clients, Preparing & circulating MOM. Performing the activities as per business requirement. Leading the team from offshore team and organizing the team meeting twice in a week, later making the MOM. Directly dealing with the clients as an offshore lead. Responsibilities Responsible as a Cognos Administrator

Involved in the designing and requirement gathering phase at the initial phase of the project. Installation and configuration of Cognos 8.4 components on single server and also in distributed platform. This involves installation of Cognos software in Windows platform as well as Cognos gateway on AIX platform. Performed functionality and regression testing. Prepared unit test cases for the application teams to test the environment. System Administration activities like:o User administration (create/edit user/role/groups), o Data source Creation and configuration. o Import/Export of archives. o Cube refresh or Building the cubes. o Security administration (maintenance of folders, packages and reports rights). o Deployment of codes in both environments first in QA (quality assurance) and then same thing in Production. o Creation of power cubes, Provide root cause analysis in case of issue/error. o Assigning security/roles for cube, packages, folder, reports etc. o Running the reports. o Managing the past, present and upcoming activities through Cognos connection page.

Followed ITIL for process, which include correct update of tickets and maintaining regular updates.
