PLACEMENT RULES:

The placement rules for placement session 2013-14 are as follows: 1. The companies would be divided into 3 categories:Category A Category A+ Category A++ The Placement Committee along with Dr. M.P.S Bhatia and Mr. Rajesh Rawat will decide the category of a company based on the profile and CTC it is offering. All the candidates are allowed to take 1 job in each category. Once a job offer has been received, the student cannot forfeit it. Anyone who receives a job in 1 category would become ineligible for the same or lower category i.e. once placed in A++ you cannot take a job in any other categories. 2. Apart from the above mentioned categories, a company can also qualify for a DREAM category. This depends on the profile they are offering and various other factors that will be posted on the group along with the details of the company. 3. The placement committee may decide to change the category of a company based on its profile but this decision will be taken before the recruitment process or the particular company begins. 4. Any PPO (Pre Placement Offer) received by a student as a result of internship process through the college will be treated as a placement offer as per Rule No. 1 and 2. The same is applicable to any off campus placement arranged by placement committee subject to prior information. 5. The placement committee reserves the right to take action against those students who are found violating placement rules. The action could include 1 or more of the following steps: Cancellation of 1 or more existing offers. Temporary ban from as many companies as found suitable by the committee. Debarment from a particular category. Debarment from placement session altogether. 6. Only registered candidates would be allowed to sit for the process. 7. Any hikes/slashes in packages will not result in change of category of the company once the recruitment process for the particular company has finished in the campus. 8. The decision of the placement committee regarding the category of a company or any other matter concerned with the welfare of the students during the placement session would be final and binding. 9. You are not allowed to forward the mails sent by placement committee to anyone(not even screenshots). If you are found doing so, youll be liable for strict actions.
