But when Simile was born, the family gained happiness. Even though they worked all day long, their stress and exhaustion were covered by Similes laughs and smiles. When he started to school, he had been an intelligent student. He was always chosen to represent their school in different contests, especially in science and math contests. He graduated as the valedictorian in grade school and high school. He had three degrees in college. But when he started to work, his attitude has changed. He became more materialistic. He did not believe anyone and he proclaimed himself as the wisest and richest in his community. With his money, he bought luxurious cars, houses and he used it to abuse the people in the lower class. When he saw his servants doing mistakes, he scolded them and compared them to an object because on his sight, his workers were just paid objects to fulfill his needs. He once said that in this world, all could be paid by his money and he once told his servants that they were like machines thay by just greasing with money all of them would function. But then, he found the person that would love him. Her name was Melanie Metaphor. They have developed a relationship because they were partners in their business. They had a child named Conchita Conceit. Melanie Metaphor died. This made Simile to change his bad attitudes to good ones. Because of his life transformation, he met another woman. She was Perfecta Personification. They had a child named Halle Hyperbole. Contribution: One of the figures of speech was named after him. It was simile. Simile is a figure of speech that shows comparison between two dissimilar things that have the same qualities using like or as. Name: Melanie Metaphor Nickname: Tappy Birthdate: December 17, 1787 Life: Melanie Metaphor came from a family of royalty. She was a daughter of the cousin of the duchess of Slovakia. She was a very beautiful and wise woman but deep inside, it was the exact opposite of the outside. Because of their richness, she was able to build her own business. There she met, her husband, Selino Simile. Just like Selino Simile, she was also an oppressor. She treated her servants as if they were animals. She once said that her maids were just cats in her mansion that they would eat the leftovers of what her family has eaten. With her feelings, she expressed them directly. She did not want anybody to disturb her and she said that she must be always right that all of what she were saying were the right things to follow. When Haley Hyperbole was born, Melanie Metaphor acquired a serious disease that caused her death. Contribution: Because she expresses herself directly, a figure of speech was named after her. Metaphor is a figure of speech that states a direct comparison between two different things that possess the same qualities.

Name: Halle Hyperbole Nickname: Hippy Birthdate: August 3, 1813 Life: Halle is the child of Selino and Petunia. This caused Hippy to be very active that everything, his senses, his movement, was exaggerated. Their maids couldn't even last a week because they can't take his behavior, so his family always hires new maids every once in a while. Having a condition like this, he was forced by his family to stay in the house for the sake of his protection. Contribution: He was known for being exaggerated, so a figure of speech was named after him. Hyperbole is a figure of speech that uses exaggerated expressions for a particular object or event. An example is "mile-high ice cream cones".

Name: Conchita Conceit Nickname: Conchie Birthdate: January 18, 1809 Life: Conchie was the daughter of Selino and Melanie. However, her mother died when she was born so she grew up yearning for a mother. Because of this, she obtained a disorder called "matriarchal disorder". This made Conchie turn into someone like her mother. Her actions depicted the similarities between the two of them. Conchie expressed herself directly but in a more elaborate and strained manner. Because of this, she was feared by her playmates and no one played with her again. Contribution: She was like her mother, but she was more elaborate and strained. So, a figure of speech was named after her. Conceit is a figure of speech that is an elaborated metaphor.

Name: Petunia Personification Nickname: Pia Birthdate: circa 1788 Life: Accounts claim that Petunia, or who is known as Pia to the village people, is a friendly mythical creature who was there wandering around a small southern Grecian town even before their ancestors settled in that area. It was said that Petunia never ages, and her only weakness is being ignored by the people. She needed her village people friends for her to survive ages. Pias powers are utterly impressive. She is said to be bearing the blood of shape shifters which are other mythological creatures said to possess the ability to transform from one creatures form to another. Shape shifters usually shift from a body of one animal to another, but in Pias case, it is more special. Pias basic form as a human can be transformed into any other animal, or even a thing. Under this special ability, she is then able to express herself, in her humanistic abilities through the inanimate objects. Time passed, and people started to forget about poor Pia. Until one day, she was not seen any more by the elders of the village which were her friends. No one knows what happened to her upto this day. Contribution:

Contribution: As a memorabilia, the figure of speech personification is named after Petunia Personification. Personification is the act of giving inanimate objects or abstract concepts human-like characteristics in speech or writing.

Her passion for music didnt stop at that point for she decided to expose herself in theatre. She travelled regularly to Broadway for her vocal and acting lessons, leading her to join various singing contests. Despite a number of failed attempts, Alina finally won a local talent competition by singing her own rendition of the song The Green Green Grass of Home, and was given the opportunity to appear as the opening act in a countrywide press conference. But if there was a thing that even Axel would not back down from is their constant battle for pride. Both believed differently as to what sounds were more significant--vowel or consonant sounds. Cassie firmly insists that consonant sounds were more abundant and therefore beats vowels by a landslide. Axel, on the other hand, retaliates with faith for vowel sounds, reasoning that though lesser in number, their use was more important for you can't form words without them. Those around them would never understand why the siblings would fight over such trivial matters but they just let them be for there was no harm done.
