Objectives To analyze critically the ideas presented in the song To value the meaning of the song Write a letter to yourself regarding on what kind of reflection you wanted to see from yourself someday.

Procedure a. Motivation The teacher will give each student a mirror. The teacher will ask his students to look at the mirror they are holding and see their own reflections. Afterwards, the teacher will ask his students the ff. questions: 1. What do you see physically in the mirror? 2. Can you also describe the type of person you see? 3. If you were to advise one thing to the person you see in the mirror. What would it be and why? b. Presentation The teacher will let his students listen to the song Reflection by Leah Salonga.

c. Discussion The teacher will present the lesson/song Reflection to the class. The teacher will ask the students questions about the song. Can anyone tell me the meaning of the word reflection? Do you know the title of the Disney movie which used this song as a theme song? Now upon knowing this movie and the song, what would be the meaning of the word Reflection for you? The teacher will relate the Disney movie Mulan to the song Reflection to make the discussion a lot easier. Afterwards the teacher and his students will sing the song together with the audio provided. d. Post activity The teacher will group his students into two and ask them to perform the song in front of the class with action. The students will be graded with the following criteria. Action/gestures 10 Voice quality 10 Overall presentation 10

e. Generalization The teacher will ask the students their insights about the song and what value they have learned from the song. f. Application The teacher will ask his students to write a letter to themselves on what reflection they would like to see looking at the mirror 10 years from now. The students will be guided with the following questions upon writing the letter. Guide questions a. Shall you follow what others want you to do? or b. Shall you follow your heart in what you wanted to do?
