Her lilting contralto style is characterized by a warm onstage presence and narrative renditions of popular songbook standards. She steadily attracts a mixed expatriate and Japanese following. She had performed in prestigious annual events such as the Japan Music Week and Kansai Music Conference. VIVIAN began her young career in a church choir at the age of 11. Throughout high school, she participated in Sing-out Philippines, a popular vocal ensemble of its time. After attending Saint Paul College (now Saint Paul University, Quezon City in Metro-Manila), she enrolled for individualized training with the tenor maestro Noel Cabahug at the Ryan Cayabyab Music School, a spawning ground for singing talent in Manila. She took early jobs as a professional performer at the Manila Hotel, the Grand Boulevard (Silahis) Hotel and the Western Philippine Plaza Hotel. Her audiences included entertainment celebrities, businessmen and dignitaries such as the former President Fidel Ramos. She consequently expanded her horizons, migrating to Tokushima, Japan, shuttling to Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Kobe and back as a professional singer; and participating in wide varieties of Tokushima "Jazz Street" and cultural festivities. She actively manages the BOURBON STREET MUSIC BAR in her adopted hometown of Tokushima-shi where she produces and graces numerous musical shows. Vocalist and and independent event producer.
