THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING OF BIRTH PAINS (SORROWS)

Matthew 24:8

FOURTH SEAL: The Pale (dappled) Horse = The Spirit of Death as found in Famine, War, Plagues, Earthquakes, Pestilence, etc.

Revelation 6:7-8: 7When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, "Come!" 8I looked, and
there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over
a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth.

• A Pale horse is symbolic of death and trouble emanating from war, beasts, plagues, famine and demise in every conceivable form.

Death has always been with us, but death by famine, natural disasters, new super plagues such as HIV infection, SARS, Swine Flu,
H5N1 Avian Influenza-Bird Flu, Ebola virus and other quick lethal diseases, Antibiotic resistance diseases, etc. and new epidemics have
reached unprecedented levels just as Jesus said they would immediately prior to His return.

Matthew 24:7: 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various
places.
Mark 13:8: 8 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places, and famines.
These are the beginning of birth pains.
Luke 21:11: 11 There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from
heaven.

The rider, Death is the personification of a condition and Hades is the personification of a place. The term Death is always followed by
the term Hades. Hades is the place of the dead and death is the vehicle which permits entrance into the same. You can't have one
without the other. Death must always come first.

• Given power indicates that they are servants of a higher authority which when commissioned may act upon their own with authority and
influence as they see fit within given boundaries.

• Fourth of the Earth: It is not clear whether the fourth of the earth spoken of is geographic or demographic. Whichever it is, the
focus is clearly on the people of this sector of the planet. Based on Daniel 2 and Ezekiel 38 the final Beast Empire will consist of peoples
from modern day Iraq, Iran, Syria, Ethiopia, Libya, Ukraine, Turkey, Russia and Germany. The combined populations of these areas is
equal to about one tenth the total population of the earth. However, geographically, they equal one fourth of the earth's total land mass.
(9 million square miles)

• To kill does not mean that he will necessarily destroy a fourth of the earth but that he has the power to do so if he so chooses.

• Sword, Famine, Plague and Wild Beasts : There are several Old Testament parallels for sword, famine and plague judgments having
been used to discipline Israel in the past but there is no prophecy of future judgment of this nature against Israel. It would seem that
the judgments meted out in the fourth seal are more globally oriented than local, especially when they involve one quarter of the earth.

Jeremiah 24:10: 10 I will send the sword, famine and plague against them until they are destroyed from the land I gave to them and their
fathers.' "
Ezekiel 12:16: 16 But I will spare a few of them from the sword, famine and plague, so that in the nations where they go they may
acknowledge all their detestable practices. Then they will know that I am the LORD."

• Old Testament references to sword, famine, plague and wild beasts can be found in the book of Ezekiel. However, these judgments are
specifically directed at the city of Jerusalem and therefore are more local than global in nature as indicated in the fourth seal.

Ezekiel 5: 8, 15-17: 8 "Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: I myself am against you, Jerusalem, and I will inflict
punishment on you in the sight of the nations……15 You will be a reproach and a taunt, a warning and an object of horror to the nations
around you when I inflict punishment on you in anger and in wrath and with stinging rebuke. I the LORD have spoken. 16 When I shoot
at you with my deadly and destructive arrows of famine, I will shoot to destroy you. I will bring more and more famine upon you and
cut off your supply of food. 17 I will send famine and wild beasts against you, and they will leave you childless. Plague and bloodshed
will sweep through you, and I will bring the sword against you. I the LORD have spoken."

Ezekiel 14: 8, 13-21: 8 I will tie you up with ropes so that you cannot turn from one side to the other until you have finished the days of
your siege….13 "Son of man, if a country sins against me by being unfaithful and I stretch out my hand against it to cut off its food
supply and send famine upon it and kill its people and their animals, 14 even if these three men—Noah, Daniel and Job—were in it, they
could save only themselves by their righteousness, declares the Sovereign LORD. 15 "Or if I send wild beasts through that country and
they leave it childless and it becomes desolate so that no one can pass through it because of the beasts, 16 as surely as I live, declares the
Sovereign LORD, even if these three men were in it, they could not save their own sons or daughters. They alone would be saved, but
the land would be desolate. 17 "Or if I bring a sword against that country and say, 'Let the sword pass throughout the land,' and I kill its
people and their animals, 18 as surely as I live, declares the Sovereign LORD, even if these three men were in it, they could not save their
own sons or daughters. They alone would be saved. 19 "Or if I send a plague into
that land and pour out my wrath on it through bloodshed, killing its people and their animals, 20 as surely as I live, declares the Sovereign
LORD, even if Noah, Daniel and Job were in it, they could save neither son nor daughter. They would save only themselves by their
righteousness. 21 "For this is what the Sovereign LORD says: How much worse will it be when I send against Jerusalem my four
dreadful judgments—sword and famine and wild beasts and plague—to kill its men and their animals!

Wild beasts of the earth being used in various Bible translations has led some to a incorrect interpretation. It should be firstly noted that
"wild beast" is not the correct translation of the Greek in Revelation 6:8. The word is "tharion" and its basic meaning is beast. It can
be translated beast (Titus 1:12) or wild beast (Acts 11:6). Context determines which translation is best. It is used thirty nine times in
the book of Revelation. In thirty eight occurrences, the term refers either to the beast, the false prophet (the second beast) or the image
of the beast and it is correctly translated beast. However, the translators attempting to clarify the meaning in Revelation 6:7- 8
incorrectly translated the text wild beasts.
There are no grounds for the translation wild beast in Revelation 6:8. Since beast (Antichrist - Revelation13:7), the false prophet
(Revelation 13:15) and the image of the beast (Revelation 13:15) all have power to put to death; and since both the beast (Revelation
13:1) and the false prophet (Revelation `13:11) are of the earth, they are better choices for the usage of "beast" in Revelation 6:8.

• Although our world is presently witnessing events that are reflected in the first four seals, it seems obvious that when the covenant is
signed, initiating the 70th Week of Daniel, those same events will intensify. In the final analysis, we shall know that the world has
entered the 70th Week with the signing of the peace agreement between Israel and some political leader (Antichrist). The world will
then witness the events unmistakably described by Jesus in both the Olivet Discourse and Revelation 6..

SUMMARY
The spirits that were revealed when the second, third and fourth seals were opened are almost as old as the world itself, but the biblical
picture both here and elsewhere is that each of these forces has taken on greater power since the time of John's Revelation. Only within
the last fifty or sixty years has the human race developed the potential to destroy itself. The military of the red horse Socialist and black
horse Capitalist countries now have their nuclear bombs, intercontinental missiles, chemical and biological weapons and other lethal
technologies. The rich capitalists on their black horse, were complicit in the last century's great wars. Their hoarding and misuse of their
riches is threatening to create more wars and violence. The rich, in their relentless pursuit of greater wealth, are finally succeeding in
polluting the entire earth…a byproduct of modern technology. Finally, following the others comes the fourth horsemen on the pale
horse…Death in every form.

So there you have the Four Horsemen Of The Apocalypse. They will continue to ride until the end when God will cleanse and purify the
earth and set up His eternal kingdom to be ruled by Jesus Christ. Amen.
