Who doesnt like good architecture?

Manel Padura, S.L. is a technical publishing company specialized in Architecture that aims to show the best projects of current architecture, offering a useful tool and reference books for professionals, as well as spreading the most interesting contributions to this eld. Following these lines and with a demand for high quality, MP publishes the book series SPAIN ARCHITECTS, awarded with a prize by the Ministry of Culture in 2008. As part of this well crafted book series we have published, up until now, the collections REHABILITATION, HOUSING and WORKS. The monograph dedicated to Carlos Ferrater has opened a new and successful publishing line, which has been awarded a prize for the best book on architecture in 2008 within the category of Practice Architecture given by Ribabooks, London. Manel Padura has the support and advice from some of the most renowned Spanish architects and architecture critics for selecting and developing his projects, including Carlos Ferrater, Vctor Prez Escolano, Guillermo Vzquez Consuegra, Enrique Sobejano, Csar Luis Larrea o Patxi Mangado.

Manel Padura, S.L. es una empresa editorial tcnica especializada en Arquitectura con la voluntad de ofrecer los mejores proyectos de la arquitectura actual, que los conviertan en tiles e interesantes herramientas y obras de referencia para los profesionales, a la vez que se difunden las aportaciones ms interesantes en este mbito. En esta lnea y con una gran exigencia de calidad, MP edita la serie SPAIN ARCHITECTS, premiada por el Ministerio de Cultura en 2008. Dentro de esta cuidada serie, han aparecido, hasta la fecha, las colecciones REHABILITATION, HOUSING y WORKS. La monografa dedicada a Carlos Ferrater ha sido la encargada de inaugurar una nueva lnea editorial, y lo ha hecho con xito, ya que dicha monografa ha sido distinguida con el premio al mejor libro de arquitectura del ao 2008 en la categora de Practice Architecture concedido por Ribabooks de Londres. Para la eleccin y desarrollo de sus proyectos, Manel Padura cuenta con el apoyo y el asesoramiento de algunos de los ms destacados arquitectos espaoles y crticos de arquitectura, entre los que se encuentran Carlos Ferrater, Vctor Prez Escolano, Guillermo Vzquez Consuegra, Enrique Sobejano, Csar Luis Larrea o Patxi Mangado.

Development of the projects

These books are especially focused on the entire technical development of the building work. They offer elevation, section and oor plans, and emphasize the thorough task of the construction details, at times completed with highly detailed axonometric drawings, as well as sketches, scale models and photographs of the work.

Desarrollo de los proyectos

Se hace especial incidencia en el seguimiento de todo el desarrollo tcnico de la obra. Adems de ofrecer los planos de alzados, secciones y plantas, tambin se destaca el minucioso trabajo de los detalles constructivos completados en ocasiones con dibujos axonomtricos de gran detalle. Todo ello apoyado tambin con croquis, maquetas y fotografas de obra.

Currently, there are many construction works that we consider of high interest, carried out by different public administrations as well as by private entities. Our intention is to yearly gather around 40 new projects, of the private and social housing sector, made by the most renowned Spanish architects. The books show the different means of work and the use of different materials: glass, plastic, concrete, ceramics depending on each architect and the needs of the project. There are also projects for bioclimatic housings.

Se vienen realizando innidad de actuaciones que nosotros consideramos de mucho inters, tanto por parte de las diferentes administraciones pblicas como a nivel privado. Es nuestra intencin ir recogiendo, anualmente, alrededor de 40 proyectos nuevos, tanto de vivienda privada como social, realizados por algunos de los ms reconocidos arquitectos espaoles. Se pueden apreciar los distintos modos de trabajo y el empleo de diferentes materiales: vidrio, plstico, hormign, cermica... por parte de cada arquitecto y segn las necesidades del encargo. Tambin hay algunos proyectos de viviendas bioclimticas.
