The Point Of Care Testing (POCT) Committee is multi-disciplinary body acting on behalf of the hospital Management to ensure the POCT programme run according to approved professional standards, to advance knowledge about POCT practices and to promote communication and cooperation between professional groups directly and indirectly involved in the POCT systems and programs 2. TERMS OF REFERENCE: 2.1. To act as a resource to the Lifeline hospital staff on particular issues brought forward to the Committee as a whole, or to individual members of the Committee 2.2. To provide advice, guidance oversee and assist in the development of the standards for the POCT 2.3. Discusses the new equipment installation in POCT 2.4. Overview of competencies, ext. QC, correlations, etc and where appropriate to do so, recommend the appropriate credentialing, qualifications and requirements 2.5. Identify education and delivery of the same 2.6. Recommendations and follow up of the implementation of solutions and be ready for submission to the specialists at any time

COMMITTEE REPORTING The reports are submitted to the Medical executive Committee on improving the performance of POCT. Chairman of the Committee to report annually on the work of the unit to improve quality.
