My name is Kathleen Ann Anak Ngadan from Sk Nanga Meluan. Today I would like to tell u a story entitled The wicked Crow and two good friends Once upon a time there was a duck and tortoise. They were best friend and often play together at pond. One day, the duck brought some food for the tortoise. Thank you, it is very kind of you to me this tasty foods said the tortoise. They eat the foods happily. After they were full, they continued to play at the pond. Meanwhile, there was a crow which felt very jealous when he saw the friendship between the duck and the tortoise. He wanted to do something evil to break their friendship. One day, when the duck was not around, the crow stole three of ducks eggs and eats them. After he had eaten the egg, he laughed and said, I will tell the duck that the tortoise who stole the eggs. Then they would not be friends anymore. That will make me happy. Now, there was a python was overhead what the crow said. Python thought, All this while the other animal accused me wrongly of stealing and eating their eggs. The real culprit is this crow. The duck return to his nest to take a rest. A soon as the duck reached his nest, he was shocked to see that three of his eggs were missing. The duck felt sad and began to cry. The crow saw the duck crying and asked, Why are you crying? pretending not to know. Oh, I am so unhappy. Three of my eggs are missing. Someone had stolen them, answered crying duck. I know who has stolen your eggs. I saw your friend, the tortoise hiding here and eating your eggs. I watched the whole thing from afar, said the crow.

Is that true? I just cant believe it, shouted the crow. Yes, thats what happened. Please believe me, replied the cunning crow. The next day Where have you been? I have waited at the pond for such a long time, said the tortoise. I dont want to play with you anymore. I really thought we were best friend. But you have betrayed me said the duck. What are you talking about? I have done nothing to offend, replied the shocked tortoise. You have eaten up my three eggs. How could you betray me shouted the duck angrily. Seeing the duck was very angry, the tortoises walk away quietly. The crow which was nearby felt happy when saw the situation. One evening, the python came to see the tortoise. The crow is evil. I saw the crow stealing the duck eggs. Is that so? Then I am a victim of the crows evil scheme said tortoise. Too many animals have accused me of eating their eggs. This is my chance of taking revenge, replied the python. The crow heard the conversation and realized that his secret had been revealed. He felt guilty and flew down to the tortoise and python. I am truly sorry, dear python and tortoise for what I have done. I promise to stop lying about other animals and causing trouble for them over again. Please forgive me, begged the crow. In the end, all the animals lived happily and harmoniously together without anymore misunderstanding.
