Research Area:
Did LL.M. with specialization in Commercial Laws in 1987. Research topic of LL.M.
was “Doctrine of Consideration under Indian Contract Act.” Ph.D. Degree was awarded
on 27-11-1996 vide notification number 96/9 on the topic “Damages for the Breach of
Contracts: A Study of Judicial Trends in India, England and the United States of
America.”

In the above stated research project, extensive work has been done on various topics of
international importance, viz. Compensation under Voidable Contracts, Exclusion of
Contractual Liability and Damages, Damages and Compensation under Doctrine of
Quantum Meruits; Implied Conditions and Warranties and Exemption Clauses in the
Agreement of Sale of Goods; Liability of Carriers for Different Kind of Defaults;
Damages under the Contract of Bailment; Conflicting Problem relating to Contractual
Liability (with special reference to Indian, English and American Position).
Joined the Faculty of Law, M.D. University, Rohtak (Haryana) as Lecturer in January
1991. Almost 18 years (+2 years adhoc) of teaching experience (have taught both
Undergraduate and Post-graduate classes). Have taught Contract Act, Private
International Law, ADR, Evidence, Cr.P.C, Company Law at LL.B. level and Corporate
Management, Corporate Finance, Interpretation of Statutes and Principles of Criminal
Law at LL.M. level. Have taught Cr.P.C, Evidence, Election Law, Service Jurisprudence,
Interpretation of Statutes, Crime & Punishment IV (Minor Act) in the previous years and
presently teaching Corporate Laws at National Law University, Jodhpur. Have got
published almost 30 research papers till now.
