Implementation of Competency Based Learning and Character-Based Learning Lesson In Motor Diesel Fuel Productive Sector Study of Automotive Engineering at Ahmad Yani Vocational High School Probolinggo. Competencies are expressed as a set of intelligent action with responsibilities that owned by one as requirement to be able to carry out the task in one particular job. Characters themselves are psychological traits, morals or manners that distinguish one person to another is often referred as nature, or character. From the paradigm described above, there is a development strategy to achieve the mission of education-based and character-based competency by assembling and managing learning at school using a pattern-based learning and competency-based learning character. From that pursuit competent educational mission and character of the nation, the researcher tried to do a research related to the extent to which the implementation of competency-based learning and character-based learning in schools-based and character-based competencies especially in vocational Ahmad Yani Probolinggo majoring in Automotive Fuel Subject Diesel. This study used a qualitative approach to the study which is designed using case studies. This study was conducted in vocational Ahmad Yani Probolinggo at Department of Automotive in Diesel Motor Fuel Productive lesson. Data collection procedures in this research include interviews, documentation, observation, and the results of triangulation. From the observations and interviews as well as documentation and triangulation results essentially in this study can be drawn that the implementation of competencybased learning and character-based learning in accordance with the needs of industry. The conclusion of the implementation of competency-based learning and character-based learning applied to vocational Probolinggo Ahmad Yani is a lesson that is formatted to produce graduates who have the competence and character to suit the needs of the industrial world then Engineering Automotive Programs, Automotive Mechanic Expertise at Ahmad Yani Probolinggo Vocational High School, in the application of learning combines existing curriculum with the necessary competence and character of the industrial world, and according to the field.
