1.0 INRODUCION Youngone Corporation is a Korea-based engaged in the manufacture of outdoor sportswear and shoes.

The Company exports outdoor sportswear, shoes and backpacks to its buyers, which are manufactured by original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in Bangladesh, China, Vietnam as well as Latin America district. The Company distributes its products within domestic market and to overseas markets. As of December 31, 2011, the Company was an affiliated company of Youngone Holdings Co., Ltd, which had 38 affiliated companies.The company hopes to reap $430 million or Tk 3,000 core in export turnover by the end of this year from its Bangladesh operations, mainly producing such outfits for world top brands.The Korea-based manufacturer of outdoor wear, sportswear and shoes that are sold by top brands like North Face, Nike and LL Bean is the single largest contributor to Bangladeshs garment export turnover.Early this week, a meeting of the global board of Youngone Corporation also set targets for the next three years.Youngone expects that by next three years its Bangladesh workforce would cross 70,000 from existing 40,000 and turnover would be doubled to $800 million.With its long experience in sportswear and outerwear manufacturing and being a major supplier to global market of the products, Youngeone could now go for designing the products, the company policymakers said. It will be a big design center with more than a hundred designers from home and abroad. The center will start operation next year.Youngone, which has a $1.2 billion global turnover and runs manufacturing and retail business in Korea, Vietnam and Peru, mainly produces jackets, jerseys and other outdoor wears. Recently, stitchless sportswear and yoga wear have been added to its list of products.In 2009 Youngones Bangladesh turnover amounted $390 million with 10 a per cent growth, but there was less contribution from shoes exports, Ahmed said, adding, We have doubled our footwear production capacity this year.At present, Youngone is building factories to raise its shoe manufacturing capacity.
