NetApp Inc. Wichita, KS 2012-2013
Senior Financial Analyst, OEM Field Sales Finance Provided accounting and financial analysis support for OEM Sales. Areas of responsibility included revenue and standard margin, marketing development funds (MDF), and expensed materials tracking. Accounting: Prepared accrual estimates for rebate & discount programs, MDF programs, and adjustments for expensed material sold to customers. Balance sheet account reconciliations for related rebate and MDF reserves. Reporting: Monthly net revenue reporting included a detailed billings/financial adjustments report and summarized management trend reporting of revenue and margins by customer/product, including key metric trends. Prepared expense reporting for customer materials, marketing and contractual MDF reserves. Forecast: Provided a monthly forecast of all financial adjustments to OEM billings and a standard margin forecast with analysis of forecast vs. actual flux. Controls: Teamed with revenue accounting and accounts receivable to develop and implement a new Finance process to route for approval ad-hoc invoicing requests. 3rd party MDF payment vendor. Monitored NetApp's prefunded cash balance with payment vendor and initiated additional funding as required. Partnered with Marketing to work various issues with the vendor.

Sr. Financial Analyst, Transition Services Agreement (TSA) (2011-2012) Supported both LSI and NetApp in the transition of LSIs ESG division to NetApp. For LSI: Monitored the close-out of ESG marketing development fund (MDF) and deferred revenue reserves. For NetApp: Performed a quality audit of significant billings on LSI's SAP system. Performed monthly GL/TB recon for snapshot close. Assisted the data retention team on extract of NetApps GL data from LSIs SAP system.
