Course Objective:
This course is designed to equip the students with statistical tools and concepts. The course will develop the capability of the students to the practical implementation of statistics in their industrial career.

Required Text:
1) Statistical Techniques in Business & Economics by Douglas A Lind, William G Marchal & Robert D Mason, McGraw-Hill. 2) Contemporary Marketing Research by Carl McDaniel, Jr. & Roger Gates, West Publishing Company. 1999. 3) Schaums Outline of theory & Problems of STATISTICS by Murray R. Spiegel & Larry J.Stephens.

Attendance:
Students are expected to attend all classes and to read material and prepare assigned homework prior to the class. If a student is not prepared to attend all classes, he/she should not enroll in this class.

Make-up of term examinations:


Make-up examinations for missed term examination may be given if there are valid reasons for not taking part in the examinations. However, students should keep in mind that make-up examinations would always be harder.
