KAYZER ALDRIN Z. SABA Reflection no.

2 First Reporter The reporter chose Science for Grade School and focused on Weather. The use of technology is obviously maximized in his report. There are a lot of visuals and animations that will entertain students. The reporter also cracked some jokes which will enliven the students in a real-life classroom scenario. On the other hand, the flaws of the report are visible. First, the slides are too textual and it might confuse the learners, especially in the grade school. Misspelled words are also present in his slides, and it might affect the way the students spell, especially grade school students. There is also a minimum level of grasp in the topic. The reporter seemed to be confused as well in what he discussed. Questions asked remained unanswered, which would be a very big mistake because the pupils inquiries should not be ignored. There was effort, but it would not suffice for an effective teaching strategy. Second Reporter Chemistry was chosen by the second reporter. The specific topic zeroed in is the Atomic Particles. There was an attempt to make the report interesting with all the animation effects. Colors used in the slide are bright enough to make them catchy. On the other hand, the slides were filled with text and diagram not suitable for Juniors if not well-explained. The Reporter failed to discuss terms and did not answer crucial definition questions, which made the students confused while the whole discussion was on-going. The topic discussed was not clear, and the students learned a little. Science could be boring and the teacher should make it more meaningful to catch the attention of the students. Third Reporter The report was humorous. There was a grasp of the topic discussed, and terms were defined first before giving examples. Slide background and effects gave life to the presentation, plus the bubbly delivery style of the reporter. A reward was given to each student who answered the question, and it would be an effective strategy to use especially to grade school pupils. The only unremarkable thing was that the reporter discussed too shallow ideas about the poem. She could have asked the students to interpret the poem first before identifying the sentence structure. It would not only add knowledge to the learners, but practice them in orally expressing their thoughts using the various kinds of sentence structure. The reporter should also take note of the few grammatical flaws especially that the chosen subject was English.
