Manual Timer Recording

Quickly please read the safety instructions carefully in the main manual before using the device. Observe all the warnings on the device. Check all the cross-references to the main manual.

Select record media DVD or HDD


Press DVD or HDD key on the remote controlor to select the media.

Playing back DVD or HDD recording


Press DVD or HDD key to select the media. Your device saves the following information whenever it records: - Recording date and time - Recording length - Recording quality This information is displayed in the title menu.

Programming the recording


By pressing TIMER button , you can access the timer recording schedule list.

Starting a manual recording Setting the menu language


If you want to record to DVD, insert apre-formatted DVD+R or DVD+RW into the recorder TheDVD's title menu is displayed. Press the STOP button twice to change to stop mode. Press the SOURCE button to select the input source from where you wish torecord: Tuner: to record from the TV if there is anaerial connection (record from tuner). Connecting the main aerial


Connect the aerial cable from the wall socket to the aerial input (ANTENNA IN) on the DVD recorder.

Open title menus


In stop mode you can open the title menu by pressing MENU/PCB; During playback you open the title menu by pressing the TITLE button.
Use UP/DOWN keys to highlight N e Input and P r essENTER to confirm. Then start to edit the item.. [UP/DOWN]: Move the focus among different Timer Recording items or select the value of each setting item. [LEFT/RIGHT] Switch from one item to another and UP/DOWN keys to cycle through digits/options to input your desired setting. The options for timer recording setting include Target, Date, Start, Stop, Source, Quality, VPS, Repeat, and Result. After finishing the setting, press ENTER to confirm. To exit Timer Recording List, press TIMER or RETURN. Use UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT to select the title you want to edit and then press ENTER to edit the title. To return to previous menu, press RETURN. Play desired title. Use UP/DOWN keys select [Play] option on the left. Then press ENTER to If you have recorded to a DVD+R please note that the DVD may not be playable on other devices until you have finalised it.

Open the title menu (see above). The DVD's title menu also contains an additional preview image:

Connect a second aerial cable (e.g.the one supplied) to the aerial input(ANTENNA IN) on the television and the aerial output (ANTENNA OUT) on the DVD recorder.

Channel search

FAV: for a device that is connected with the DVD recorder via the AV2 IN socket (front of device). RSV: for a device that is connected with the DVD recorder via the SV 1 socket. FSV: for a device that is connected with the DVD recorder via the SV 2 socket (front of device).

Connecting to a TV via the SCART cable


Connect the SCART-OUT/TV output on the device to the TV's SCART input. When you have connected theDVD recorder properly, connect the device to a power point (230 V ~ 50 Hz) You can subsequently repeat the channel scan from SETUP > Tuner > Auto Scan.

Setting the date and time

SCART:for an external device that is connected to the DVD recorder only via the SCART IN cable . DV: for a device that is connected with the DVD recorder via the DV IN socket (digital video camera). Press RECORD on the remote controlor front of device to start the recording. You can pause and restart the recording by pressing PAUSE. Press STOP to finish recording. Please wait after approx. 15-17 seconds. Your recording has now finished.

Switch the unit to standby mode.
