Tasks - Assist in the analysis of the behavior & characteristics of the system (theoretical analysis, Matlab/Simulink and Real-time simulation) - Implement software for embedded real-time systems, and subsequently test the implementation on our real-time simulation environments and on actual drives - Document software, contribute to the hand-over of the developed features into the SW release process - Render support on technical issues to our internal customers, and support the software commissioning of pilot drives and troubleshooting on customer sites Requirements Master's degree in electrical or control engineering - Background in at least two of the following areas: power electronics, electrical machines, modern automatic control theory, or SW engineering - Some exposure to modern automatic control and its real-time implementation or to the control of electric variable speed drives - Basic knowledge of Matlab/Simulink for simulation and code-generation, C/C++ programming, IEC 61131 based programming - Basic knowledge in VHDL programming beneficial - Fluency in English, German language skills beneficial - Responsible and reliable team player in an international environment - Ability to work and learn independently with a result-oriented mindset - Willingness to travel abroad for short-term assignments
