ACKNOWLAG EMENT

Acknowledgement
To the accomplishment of any feat is required a medium of hard work. An optima of motivation and extreme of guidance the ocean, has to take up the right course least it ends up endure. Behind the successful completion of our project there are number of people whom be would like to thank. We would like to express our gratitude and sincere thanks for providing us the necessary infrastructure, for which propelled us towards own destiny.
We would like to extend our heart felt thanks to HOD Er. SUSHIL KUMAR our project guides, who helped us a lot in making and modification of this project.

At last not the least we would like to thanks all the member of electrical fraternity for their cooperation.

PROJECT: FIRE ALARM

INTRODUCTION In the circuit an audio oscillator is working as fire alarm. Transistor T-1 working as preamplifier whose output from collector is fed to the base of T-2 and finally its output from collector connected to operator speaker. The oscillator capacitor C1 and R1 gives a feedback current to transistor T1 when T1 get biased through fire switch, it energize T2 and finally oscillator circuit completed.

COMPONENT LIST

15

COMPONENT USED 1. IC. IC stands for integrated circuit. The integrated circuit is very small single crystal chip of silicon. We can series more components on a single crystal chip of silicon. 2. Resistance A resistance is a passive component, it offer opposition to flow of current in circuit. Types of Resistance: 1). Fixed Resistance 2). Variable Resistance 3. Transistor A Transistor with one layer of positively charged semiconductor material between two negatively charged layers.
16

4.Battery The battery used for giving the supply in the circuit is of 9 volt. 5.Capacitor A capacitor is a passive electronic component that stores energy in the form of an electrostatic field.

Working

During the normal condition, as the two metal strips are not in contact, current cant flow through the circuit. If however a fire incident took place near the sensor, the strips (bimetallic) of the sensor are so sensitive that the gap between them is closed and current flows through the circuit and alarm starts sound. The alarm will automatically stop when fire is extinguished and strips of the sensor get

18

separated. By adjusting the gap between strips you can increase its sensitive.

Conclusion
At least we read the entire FIRE ALARM. This is in well working condition and worked. In last we also thanks again to our ER HIMANSHU KALRA. We also want to thanks of all staff of electric engineering for their cooperation.
