At Wildeiness 1iail Museum
For the 40th season, the Wilderness Trail Museum, 37
N. Main St., Fort Loramie, will be the setting for Colonial
Williamsburg Christmas Dinners sponsored by the Fort
Loramie Historical Association, Inc. Dinners will be held
this year Thursday thru Sunday, December 5, 6, 7, and 8.
The historic museum will be transformed from an
1853 boardinghouse/hotel to a wonderland of Christmas
trees, decorations, and lights. Costumed waiters and wait-
resses will serve the dinners. Last year, more than 400
dinners were served during the four-evening event.
The New Renaissance Singers of Piqua will entertain
throughout the evening, which begins at 6:30 p.m. with a
large variety of appetizers and drinks popular during the
Colonial period. Dinner begins at 7:15 with Kings Arm
turkey with giblet gravy as the main entre, a variety of
vegetables and relishes, with dessert to follow.
The museum building will be decorated as in the past
with abundant greenery, Christmas trees, and wreaths in the Colonial style. Members of the Association
will assist with serving, dressed in Colonial garb, and a liveried doorman will welcome guests at the
door.
Reservations are now being taken for all four evenings - Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday,
December 5, 6, 7 and 8 - with a donation of $27.50 per person, payable with your reservation. Specify
the date you prefer and give a second choice, if possible.
Reservations can be made by phone to Dorothy Quinlin, 937-295-2659, or by sending payment to the
Fort Loramie Historical Association, P.O. Box 276, Fort Loramie, OH 45845 and stating the evening you
would like to attend. The museum is handicapped accessible. If needed, please indicate when making
