I only wish that you will browse through this book with an open mind. With good intent, I hope you will learn something new. I know that it takes a long time to change engrained beliefs and philosophies one has acquired in his/her younger days. This is a vitally important fact: the choice is completely yours. But please rely and trust on your instincts. This book should not distract you from your religious beliefs. However, listen to your instincts. Change in beliefs may take decades, even centuries, for minds to change. It took no less than 4200 years since Sumerian time to prove that the world was round. Brave men had to face the cruel world to prove this wrong. And they did. Thus Christopher Columbus and other explorers were able to circumnavigate the earth.

Copernicus proved that the earth rotated around the sun. The earlier belief was that it was the sun that revolved around the earth. It took a long time to accept this change. Galileo, the father of scientific reason, had to suffer in harsh seclusion because he too believed the findings of Copernicus.

During the last 60 years, very significant revolutionary developments have taken place fast: man landed on the moon, the Hubble telescope gave more information about the heavens; communication technologies introduced the Internet, digital TV and all manners of mobile phones. Advances in the military-industrial complex, in medicine, and in many other areas have been astounding. Yet a few believe that the earth is flat!

It does not mean that I don’t recognize the great work and research of hundreds of scientists like Dr. Paul Laviollete, Stephen Hawkins, and recognized scientists in their own fields from astronomy, astrology, cosmology, paleontology, geological, physics, remote viewing, etc. Our knowledge has grown astronomically a lot broader and deeper the last 60 years. The fields that scientists dwell into are more on the pure physical realms even if they discuss ultra-microscopic unseen things as genes, cosmic rays or sub-atomic particles.

One may study more of these things in Nature’s Magazine and gain more understanding on the workings of the radio-galactic group, out-burst phenomenon, cosmology and many other fields.

The deeper physical exposures or discoveries by present-day scientists are proofs, to me, that supernatural realms exist beyond the 4.6 physical renditions in the hugeness of our Universe. What is the so-called dark matter? What are black holes? What is nano technology? What is quantum physics? Or what subquantum physics stands for? And what is quantum jumping? It has very good results. Search Google for scientific theories like String Theory and M-Theory, or watch the film What The Bleep Do We Know!? Once you do, you will be convinced that alternate universes do indeed exist. There is a log of cosmic knowledge to be learned. Try and understand. The only prerequisite is an open mind and the power of intent.

There are many things we have yet to discover. In time the human brain will be able to connect to the many densities or dimensions and multi-dimensional levels undiscovered yet. They exist in the unseen world of the cosmos, and contactees have had experiences in this realm but still a lot of folks don’t believe in them as true. The consciousness in this unseen universe is in the so-called dark matter. There are countless paths, parallels, domains, cycles, and stargates that are manifested in these areas. The dozens of advanced technologies will be shared to us in time by the good guys of the outer realms.

This book will relate a field of the paranormal based on my experiences. Many will say this is very unscientific. Have you heard of anti-universe? Of course, dealing with paranormal is unscientific. But we are channeled slowly into a great deal of universal knowledge by benevolent groups or the big guys in our galaxy. However, some bad guys are blocking our advancement and we had stumbled many times through the centuries and had followed different paths.

Many in our present world have gained biblical and scientific knowledge from church ministers, schools, universities and research centers for ages. The priests, pastors and ministers have fixed their knowledge on what is written in the Bible and what is delivered in pulpits or taught in schools and universities. A lot of people these days contradict Bible and paleontology. To think that religious leaders have higher minds to analyze the past and present on-goings yet they are stuck in their own teachings. So as their followers. What knowledge they have acquired will take a long time to change or possibly not at all. We hope the next generation will accept the changes that are to come.

Look at the many religious sects and denominations today. They branch from a herirarchy to a new found denomination. Was there a change shown that would reflect advancement? They would claim that this new found religion is most acceptable to God.

The Source sees the heart of man, not what man has created. It is centered between good and evil. It is how one lives his life by practicing good thoughts and acts. What you can do to your neighbor? It is not between atheists and believers of God, Islam versus Christianity, communism or democracy, religious or non-religious – it is how we engage and practice universal love against hate and greed whatever level of society one is in. Do no evil deeds over good should be in one’s consciousness. Today, the world is split in many groups.

I wonder if the rich and famous, as some say, look down on the lowly. How many of them can see the heart of the poor? While it is true that a lot of the tycoons are philanthropist yet some give but a fraction of their wealth. Others give much more. Others-none at all. It is said that if 100 billionaires can share their wealth, it can feed the whole world and none will be hungry.

There are many people who are skeptical about the Milky Way galaxy as teeming with life (with 200 billion stars and planets revolving around it). Our galaxy has a twin sister known as M31. The fact is that there are 200 billion galaxies in our universe. And what’s more, there are universes beyond our own. Don’t you wonder the domain and stretch of the universe? Many cannot believe that our souls will join other souls in higher dimensions in not too distant future when we are out of our earth and the solar system. But many will have to return to earth to pay for their karmic debts.

A recent undisclosed contact tells us that soon, the wider picture will be revealed involving 7 ET races that have been working with various governments that are now going to be met with 50 new ET races that are going to be introduced (face-to-face!) to the public. There are new technologies being rolled out on the U.S. and some countries.

Where does my information come from? Thru the messengers (angels) who exist in their higher dimensions through telepathy. I wrote 3 books the last 3 years but there was no suggestion that some kind of telepathy existed. It was a normal way of writing as if I have summarized a patient’s history or wrote a long letter. These three books was a pre-run, I would say now, to what is written here. You can dispense the philosophical thoughts I wrote except for the mystical experiences I wrote in the Part I of this book. This book now is more profound and had some intervention from the spirit world. You will know more of these things as you read the whole book.

There are the different levels of dimensions that these messengers give out their information. This is the reason why some contactees are varied in the release of their off-world information and shared to us. Some of the information do not exactly fit what other contactees express that also receive information from different levels of dimension. Some disagreements exist as physical scientists disagree with their theories. But almost all the information is homing in towards the center. The wistleblowers are in different frequencies but they too are going towards the core.

My level is on another frequency. My writing is directed mainly to the common man of the street and leaders too, even scientists and millionaires who have not been conscious of the paranormal exposures as they take things for granted, keeping themselves pre-occupied with their livelihood, their research, or they just cannot believe in the supernatural world.

Many think that scientists in our present civilization are advanced. This is not so. Some contactees tell us our scientists are still in the kindergarten stage even if we have progress in developing atomic weapons, supersonic jets and communication systems as well as advances in the fields of medicine. There are contactees that present deeper and more complex knowledge of energies that deal with the individual, the Milky Way, M31 and our Universe. One contactee’s information comes directly from a higher world and downloads (at that very moment) to her brain, information on occasions where they have to be expressed in a seminar or interviews.

One of the purposes of this book is to make known to the inhabitants of this planet, rich or poor, that we are not physically and spiritually alone. There are many civilizations in our galaxy with far-advanced technologies — far beyond our present comprehension. Some civilizations are advanced 1,000 years ahead of us, some far more. However, we should bear in mind that the uppermost dimension is The Source, the Infinite Wisdom, has a part in all of us, in our superconscious mind, for we are One with Him. Are we conscious of this? The Old Book tells us ‘we are all created in the image of God.’ Can some physical scientist accept this? Some do.

As of now only a mere 15 per cent or even less of the earth’s population completely believes in extraterrestrial beings (ETs) despite the abundance of books, websites, DVD, U-tubes and videos. Are they available in poor countries where the population is really over-crowding rapidly? About 34% (of western societies) believe in the existence of ET’s. The rest have heard of them but they remain skeptical. The waiting for their physical appearance has taken a long time although a few ET’s have appeared before to individual contactees and have given their messages.

Some are getting confused. They claim it is plain fantasy or speculation even those who have high IQ’s. How much more in poor countries? When they hear information about the races of extraterrestrial that are in this world today, they shrug their shoulders or throw this into the bins of their mind. It is so difficult because very limited proofs are available to our senses.

Many are just too busy with their lives and do not to care about the knowledge as regards extraterrestrial beings in our midst. Even if they hear in the TV, radio or newspapers they just dismiss this. This is probably so as it has been going on for decades. A lot more are interested in immediate things what is good for their lives (vitality and performance) and the protection of members of the family from hunger and disease. Countless of families in poor countries have no digital TV or radio nor are reached by newspapers. How can you help to spread this information? Can you teach them to improve their vibration?

One will ask why our present civilization had started in Stone Age after the last global catastrophe: this was due to an extremely high level of radiation from a giant galactic superwave that erase a lot of conscious knowledge stored in our brains. This was caused by the last geologic upheaval during the time of Atlantis. The next generation, the survivors of the last geologic destruction, our physical generation today, had to start anew and it took a few thousand years before man gradually discovered what bronze or iron was.

65 MILLION YEARS OLD PYRAMIDS!

Tens of scientists from different countries explore a place in Sevastopol, where seven ancient pyramids are presumably hidden underground. Archeological dig is underway.

Sevastopol researcher Vitaly Gokh found the whereabouts of pyramids with the help of his unique patented invention, which lets to define any substances underground. For several years he has made a search of minerals and water. Detailed analysis of one of the found constructions showed not natural, but artificial character of its creation.

More than 20 commissions, including international ones, have visited the place recently. The majority of scientists consider that underground pyramids of Sevastopol confirm the guess of American scientists about that 65 million years ago an ancient civilization died out because of fall of giant meteorite.

Human Ancestor’s Skeleton Dated to 3 Million Years

For more than a decade, anthropologists have debated the age of the Australopithecus fossil called Little Foot, as they excavated the nearly complete skeleton of the extinct potential ancestor of humans. Now scientists say they have conclusively shown the specimen is about 3 million years old.

A recent analysis of stone surrounding the fossils found evidence of the bones’ age and suggested Little Foot may be the oldest nearly complete Australopithecus skeleton ever found.

THE CIRCLEVILLE LETTER WRITER

It looks like any other quaint all-American town. But in 1976, residents of Circleville, Ohio, began receiving mysterious, harassing letters. Thousands of letters, written in block letters were sent to city officials and citizens.

The bizarre campaign turned deadly when one recipient, a school bus driver, received a letter accusing her of having an extra-marital affair.

When her husband drove off to confront the writer after receiving a phone call, he was killed in an unexplained crash.

The woman’s brother-in-law, thought to be the letter writer, was later convicted of her attempted murder. However, while he was in jail the letters continued despite him being in solitary confinement and the identity of the writer was never confirmed.

Zecharia Sitchin has provided a fascinating documentation on the existence of extraterrestrials in the history of mankind. These extraterrestrials are described in ancient Sumerian texts (circa 1500 to 3500 BCE — "Before Current Era) as being the Anunnaki (those who from heaven to earth came"). According to Sitchin (1985, 1990-1) and other open-minded interpreters of the various ancient texts available to us today, the Anunnaki, were instrumental in creating man some 250,000 years ago, and were extensively involved in mankind’s history during the pre-Christian eras.  The Book of Genesis, as just one example, can best be interpreted in a consistent manner by writing the ancient Sumerian description of the Anunnaki.

Edgar Cayce’s Reading on UFO’s and ET

What did Edgar Cayce say about UFOs and ETs?  Cayce, America’s most accurate and best-documented psychic, had something to say about extraterrestrial beings. T. Kay writes in his book, When the Comet Runs, [1997, Hampton Roads Pub. Co., Charlottesville, VA., p. 146-147), few people are aware that Cayce spoke of extraterrestrials, on two occasions. In a reading about the Atlanteans period, (more than 12,000 years ago) Cayce, according to T. Kay, said:

‘The manners of transportation, the manners of communications through the airships of that period were such as Ezekiel described them at a much later date.’ (Reading 1859-1)

In 1938 while discussing the experiences of the people of the Mayan region who occupied Central America, Cayce mentioned in passing:

‘…and there were the beginnings of the unfoldments of the understanding [from] those that were visiting from other worlds or planets.’ (Reading 1616-1).

Extraterrestrial Beings in the Old Testament

The notion that flying saucers can be inferred when reading certain passages of the Old Testament is not a new one, but, like the Bible itself, it is an inexhaustible subject, meaning we can never know the complete truth of that correlation in spite of how hard we work to understand it all. But Timothy Green Beckley comes to the aid of the curious reader seeking to learn more about this marvelous relationship between miracles many millennia old and the advanced UFO technology we have seen in our skies at least since the 1947 sighting by Kenneth Arnold. 

Beckley has recently released an updated edition of the classic Flying Saucers In The Holy Bible, which consists mostly of an older work by the Reverend Virginia F. Brasington, who offered flying saucer interpretations of stories from both the Old and New Testaments. This article will concern itself primarily with incidents from the Old Testament. 

In his introduction to the new reprint, Beckley discusses the little known Reverend Brasington thusly: "Hers was a relatively obscure manuscript that had been picked up by ‘flying saucer promoter’ Gray Barker and published by his Saucerian Press. Before she became an angel in heaven herself, I met the petite woman while a guest on an all-night talk show hosted by, of all people, the Amazing Randi. The lady minister had set about to promote her work and she so impressed me with what she had uncovered that I later reissued her book in 1982. At the time it was well received, but unfortunately there was only a limited audience for its controversial content. Unlike other more authoritative figures in the same genre, Reverend Brasington touched upon her own fertile ground." 

If you’re wondering just what kind of reverend Virginia Brasington was, Beckley writes that she was licensed as a minister in the State of North Carolina by the Church of the Nazarene. But it is unlikely that many of her fellow clergy members at the time were seeing the Bible quite like she did. 

Regular contributor Sean Casteel has long approached the Bible as an historical UFO record. 

For example, Brasington takes up the story of the Pillar of Cloud that guided Moses and the Israelites through the desert. 

In Exodus 14:19-20, she writes, we read how the Pillar of Cloud would change position as the circumstances warranted it. It glowed at night and made a light for the whole camp of Israel, but in the daytime it was a thick grey mass that protected them from the hot burning desert sun. In the 20th verse mentioned above, it tells us how when they were engaged in battle, or when the Egyptians drew too near the Israelites, this huge object moved between the enemy and the Israelites and would glow on the side of the Israelites, thus giving them light to perform their camp duties; while on the side of the Egyptians it was dark. It was just as though God put His great big hand between them. 

Brasington also provides a comprehensive list of the many references to clouds in the Old Testament, specifically God appearing at various times to be using clouds as a form of transportation. Like this incident recorded in the 16th chapter of Exodus:

When the Children of Israel had been murmuring and complaining, Brasington recounts, "and Aaron had called them together to deliver a lecture on ingratitude, we are told in the 10th verse that ‘they looked toward the wilderness, and, behold, the glory of the Lord appeared in the cloud.’ So, evidently, this was some kind of vehicle that hovered over them, stood on end beside them, glowed when necessary, and put out some kind of vapor that condensed and kept a continual cloud over them to protect them from the sun – and maybe to protect the people from radiation burns – and, somehow, God was aboard."

Further examples of clouds are listed. The following are both from

Exodus 19. 

"And the Lord said to Moses, ‘Lo! I come unto thee in a thick cloud, and the people may hear when I speak with thee, and believe thee forever.’" 

And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud came upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that were in the camp trembled.

Since the early days of UFO sightings, Christian fundamentalists

have taken the approach that all UFOs are hosted

by demonic entities. 

But clouds are not the only symbolic representation of God’s celestial modes of transportation. Also included in the updated Flying Saucers In The Holy Bible are some remarks by Biblical scholar and television personality Gary Stearman, who says, "The Bible speaks of fiery chariots. The chariot in Hebrew is called the ‘merkavah.’ It has been suggested – in fact, several modern Israelis have suggested – that UFOs in the Hebrew be called ‘merkavah mophtim.’ And mophtim means ‘wonder.’ So what you have in the Hebrew would be ‘chariots of wonder’ or ‘vehicles of wonder.’

The Bible speaks of the fiery chariots being like heavenly ambassadors, or sometimes they’re called heavenly messengers, or angels. You can call them beings from another dimension. They’re commonly called aliens. But the prophets said that these were the watchmen watching over Israel. And they were acting on the behalf of Israel, according to the will of God.

During the interview I conducted with Stearman for the book, he made reference to a story in the Bible from Second Kings 6, beginning with verse 15. 

And when the servant of the man of God was risen early and gone forth, Stearman read aloud, Behold, an host – that’s an army – encompassed the city, both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him – of course, ‘he’ being Elisha – the servant said unto him, ‘Alas, my master, how shall we do?’ In other words, we are in deep trouble. And he answered, ‘Fear not, for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.’ And Elisha prayed and said, ‘Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes that he may see.’ And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, who saw and behold the mount was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.

Stearman then illuminated the text a bit more. 

Now what was going on here in Second Kings, Chapter Six, he explained, is that there was a great battle being fought in which Israel was threatened, deeply threatened. And the prophet Elisha went out on behalf of Israel. The king of Syria had invaded Israel, and Elisha went down to deliver God’s message to the leaders of Israel. And he had a servant with him. And the servant was deathly afraid that they were going to be killed. Elisha prayed and the servant’s eyes were opened and he was able to see they were surrounded; the Israelites were surrounded, by these chariots of fire, these merkavim. I believe this is an Old Testament reference to what we could call UFOs today, fighting on behalf of Israel. 

The same chapter in which Stearman is quoted also includes material on Israeli UFO researcher Barry Chamish and the flying saucer phenomenon in the Holy Land in recent times. The same alien presence that drove the stories of the Old Testament is still present today, watching over a Promised Land divided by racial conflict and warfare, and may offer an assurance of a future peace being established in that troubled part of the world.

It’s important to understand that Muslims do believe that Allah has created other beings, some we know about and some we do not know about. It is also important to understand that when people think of the term alien, they think of Hollywood’s version of aliens.

The following are verses from the Quran supporting this:

Surah 51:47 informs us, ‘and it is we who have built the universe with (Our creative) power; and verily, it is we who are steadily expanding it.’

Surah 55:33-34 ‘O ye assembly of Jinn and men! If it be you can pass beyond the regions of the heavens and the earth, pass ye! Not without authority will ye be able to pass! Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?’

Surah 16:8 says, ‘and (it is He Who creates) horses and mules for you to ride…and He will yet create things of which (today) you have no knowledge.’

These verses are stating that Allah has indeed created beings other than humans. The root meaning of the word jinn is something hidden or which cannot be seen. Thus, jinns are unseen or are hidden beings we as humans cannot see. Some jinns are Muslim and some aren’t. Allah has given jinn the same free will as humans.  

A Contactee Visited a Distant Planet

Bob Dean’s account is not new as many have heard about ETs for decades now.  Still there is a big number who have not heard about them or are simply unmindful of what is going on.  Many cannot see the writings on the wall.  This line applies to them:  ‘They have eyes and see not.’

A great number have seen UFOs mostly after World War II; some were contacted by extra-terrestrials, many became abductees, some have visited other civilizations in our galaxy, and a few have seen huge underground tunnels with elevators, countless bedrooms, etc. Was government money used in these black projects? There is a lot more information that can be gained as one continues to read this book.  All these have been covered up by most governments. The leaders of some nations have been aligned with ET groups were instructed by the ETs to keep the events top secret. Of course, with threats to their lives. But slowly, information about these secret events is leading out from secret vaults. Some have died of questionable conditions for blowing a whistle.

This book is written in a very simple way compared to the complex revelations of some abductees and refutable UFO writers. It is very difficult for ordinary minds to comprehend the vast knowledge that abductees and illustrious authors have revealed much more in accepting such information. Ordinary minds tend to let go of this extensive knowledge.  It is too advanced for them to accept. Or are they just skeptical? Could it be the combination of both? Or they might be told by higher hierarchies not to read this book. Before WW II I was told that the Catholic followers in the Philippines were not allowed to read the Bible. Why the change now?

Many give the impression that ‘if outer interplanetary beings come we should be friendly to them rather than show hostility.’  One contactee, Alex Collier, is one who promotes friendliness. Have a look at his website: Exolpolitics.com. If we are told something very dreadful will happen then we fight until the last breath of life. After all the first instinct of man is self-preservation. Can we ever succeed against far-advanced technologies that these off-world beings use? We have a lot to gain if we follow Alex Collier.

It is quite interesting to note that the Russians have many stories to tell with regard to UFOs. Please secure the book authored by Paul Stonehill, "The Soviet UFO Files which tells amazing stories of the Russian X-Files — the secret archives that had to be suppressed because of what they contained.  The X-Files" carefully recorded and gathered all details pointing to UFO and alien activity in the former USSR.  There had been many strange encounters throughout the empire in the years 1028, 1111, 1317, 1319. 1403, 1880, and many more up to the present. The Tunguska phenomenon on June 30, 1908 flattened hundreds of miles of forest in Siberia, but left no craters or fragments from a huge explosion were seen.  This must be an explosion of one of the ET’s arsenal. Did they use scalar weapons? Can we go against them? The force of the explosion was equivalent to 40 megatons of TNT.  That is 2000 times the force of the first atomic bomb that was dropped in Hiroshima in l945.

Skeptics might explain away ambiguous images as lens distortion, vapor trails from an aircraft, or perhaps just wishful thinking. But to believers in UFOs, sightings provide yet another chapter in the vast annals of possible sightings of alien visitors. The National UFO Reporting Center, which makes its headquarters in a former underground nuclear bunker in Harrington, Wash., posts had estimated 5,000 new sightings annually to its online database, and maintains records on as many as 70,000 potential glimpses of extraterrestrial visitors, dating back to the 1950s, according to Seattle Weekly. But UFO believers say that reported sightings go as far back as ancient times, when the Hebrew prophet Ezekiel spoke of seeing fiery wheels touch down on land, apparently piloted by strange creatures with animal faces.

Evaluating the credibility of UFO sightings is a daunting task, since the absence of a clear-cut explanation for an incident doesn’t automatically prove that an object is of alien origin, and there’s often a paucity of physical evidence or data from scientific instruments available to bolster witnesses’ visual observations. But as any student of physics will tell you, there’s no such evidence to prove quantum mechanics either, and yet scientists nevertheless seem confident that it’s real. A lot of things are slowly coming out. What have you heard?

What follows are astute observations on UFO phenomena

1. Circa 600 B.C. — Ezekiel’s Wheels in the Sky

In the 6th century B.C., the Hebrew prophet Ezekiel, who was 30 years old at the time, was walking along the Kebar River, probably in what is now Iraq, when he saw an immense storm cloud coming out of the north, surrounded by lightning. In the center, he saw what looked like glowing metal, and four winged creatures which had multiple humanoid and animal faces. According to Ezekiel 1:1-28, when the visitors landed, Ezekiel saw that each visitor was riding on what ‘appeared to be made like a wheel intersecting a wheel.’ The vehicles moved with the creatures, rising with them as they rose from the ground. Above the creatures was what looked something like a vault, sparkling with crystal, and awesome, and containing a seated humanoid figure that seemed to be made of glowing metal from the waist up.

Ezekiel took it to be a vision of God accompanied by angels, but modern UFOlogists, noting the similarity between the creatures’ vehicles and more recent descriptions of flying saucers, have wondered if what Ezekiel observed was actually a visit by extraterrestrials.

2. 1561 — UFO Dogfight over Nuremberg

Two German broadsheets — the 16th-century equivalent of newspapers — now preserved in a Zurich library depict a bizarre incident that occurred on April 16, 1561, in the skies over Nuremberg, Germany. An eyewitness, professional illustrator Hans Glasser, made an engraving that shows a variety of enormous objects — globes, airplane-like flying crosses, and long cigar-shaped tubes — flying overhead and engaging in aerial combat. Two of the objects in the illustration have crashed and left smoking wreckage on the ground.

Glasser wrote that ‘this dreadful apparition occurred on the sun, and this was seen in Nuremberg in the city, before the gates and in the country — by many men and women.’ He noted that ‘the globes flew back and forth among themselves and fought vehemently with each other for over an hour … they became fatigued to such an extent that they all … fell from the sun down upon the earth as if they all burned, and then eventually wasted away on the earth with immense smoke.’

In his book Flying Saucers — a Modern Myth of Things Seen in the Sky, early 20th-century psychoanalyst Carl Jung speculated that the scene described by Glasser actually was some sort of symbolic vision, summoned up from mankind’s collective unconscious. But UFOlogists suspect that he actually was describing a conflict between different groups of space aliens.

3. 1639 — UFO over Massachusetts

The precise day is lost, but sometime in 1639, Massachusetts Colonial Governor John Winthrop recorded in his journal what may be the first-ever UFO sighting on United States soil: ‘One James Everell, a sober, discreet man, and two others, saw a great light in the night at Muddy River,’ Winthrop wrote, using the then-common name for the Charles River, which flows through the Boston area.

The object, which Winthrop recounts was about 9 feet long (2.7 meters), ran ‘as swift as an arrow’ up and down the length of the river for two to three hours. At times, the object contracted — oddly, into what witnesses described as ‘the shape of a swine.’ Lest we assume that Winthrop was delusional or telling a tall tale, he assures us that ‘Diverse other credible persons saw the same light, at about the same place.’ James Savage, who edited Winthrop’s Journal in 1835, attributed the sighting to ‘some operation of the devil,’ but UFO enthusiasts see it as a possible account of an extraterrestrial visit.

4. 1860 — Fiery Red Balls Buzz Delaware

Weird stuff is supposed to happen on Friday the 13th, but this incident might be the weirdest of all. On the evening of July 13, 1860, virtually the entire city of Wilmington, Del., was lit by a pale blue light, and residents looked into the skies to see what appeared to be a 200-foot-long (61-meter) object flying about 100 feet (30 meters) over them. A contemporary news account in the Wilmington Tribune reported that the object ‘moved in a straight line without any inclination downwards’ and gave off ‘sparkles in the manner of a rocket.’

The UFO apparently had an entourage. It was preceded by a pitch-black cloud flying in front. And bringing up the rear, about 100 feet (30 meters) apart, were three ‘very red and glowing balls.’ As the object turned toward the southeast over the Delaware River, a fourth red glowing ball appeared. 5. 1942 — The Battle of Los Angeles

We’re not referring to the recent cinematic sci-fi thriller, but to an actual event that occurred in the early days of World War II, shortly after a Japanese submarine surfaced near Santa Barbara and fired 15 shells at an oil facility. While the only attack against the U.S. mainland didn’t do any damage, it put anti-aircraft batteries in California on edge. Thus, when radar picked up an unidentified object 120 miles (193 kilometers) to the west of Los Angeles in the early morning hours of Feb. 25, 1942, operators watched anxiously as what they assumed to be a Japanese aircraft zoomed to within a few miles of the coast, only to vanish suddenly from their screens.

According to the book The Air Raid Warden Was a Spy, an artillery officer along the coast reported seeing what he believed were 25 aircraft flying at 25,000 feet (7,620 meters) over the city of Los Angeles, and a few minutes later, others saw a balloon-like object carrying what appeared to be flares over adjoining Santa Monica. The anti-aircraft batteries then erupted in a fury, firing 1,400 rounds of ammunition at what various witnesses later described as swarms of objects, and flying at speeds of up to 200 miles per hour (322 kilometers per hour) at altitudes from a few thousand to 20,000 feet (6,096 meters). Oddly, none of the fire hit anything, because no wreckage was found afterward, and 40 P-38 fighters who arrived soon afterward to defend the city found no enemy aircraft to fight. The official explanation was a false alarm, exacerbated perhaps by mass hysteria — though some also suspected a clever psy-op staged by the Japanese, using civilian light aircraft launched out of the Mexican desert. But believers in UFOs wonder if extraterrestrials were the real explanation.

6. 1947 — The First Flying Saucer
